Evan Rachel Wood will be presenting an award at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards tonight.
She took to the red carpet wearing a one sleeved Gucci Resort 2011 dress – unsurprisingly as she’s the face of ‘Gucci Guilty’.
What was surprising was how much I didn’t really like it because Evan has great style.
Her olive ombre animal print Gucci dress isn’t the issue, because it works well with her moody persona and flame red hair.
I just don’t like the thigh-high boots.
Firstly because they look a tad baggy. Secondly they don’t work with her dress and thirdly I just don’t like thigh-high boots.

With hair like that, Evan would’ve been better suited in a brighter color. The thigh-high boots are absolute yuck. She looks like she’s trying way too hard to be MTV’s definition of “cool.” Why Evan why?
I hate the boots here, it could have looked so much better if she had paired her dress with – yes- just black boring pumps….

I know that ever since Marilyn Manson she’s been into the gothic thing and it can work for her. But at times like this one, she really comes off as a poor man’s Dita Von Teese. The look is way too dark for the VMAs… and period tbh.
I’m disappointed as Evan is one of my favs to see on the RC – dang, as we don’t get to see her all that often…..
the dress has nothing special and the boots only make it worse!
The boots look baggy because she is so thin, when your thigh-high boots are slipping down to your knees you are too slender. Shame because the dress is good (but also baggy).
The boots do ruin it but when I saw this pic Ive just realised how much weight she has lost. She looks really skinny

Wrong pose, worng styl eworng dress. She SO should ahve picked and a/w 2010/11 dress. There were so many beautiful dresses to pick from.
