There was so much energy at the Z Spoke by Zac Posen Spring 2011 presentation yesterday.
It’s what we all needed at 7pm after a full day of shows.
The models were having so much fun on the runway, smiling dancing and twirling. One model fell after her twirl but got up smiling pumping her fist as she received a big cheer from the crowd.
Zac Posen created a fabulous fun, young and sexy collection with peek-a-boo cut-outs and plunging necklines.
It wasn’t all sexy. There were many wearable pieces from spring coats, knits, suits, tunics and T-shirts which were layered with other pieces.
Ruffles tend to be really girlie, but Zac made them more punk by teaming the ruffles with a lacey bra.

Key accessories included sunglasses which were colourful or had a sparkling frame.
The platform heels were created in collaboration with Steven Madden.
I loved the models make-up. The slashes of bright eye shadow really added to the punk vibe.
Favourites: The face print top and tapered pants above and the keyhole detail dress with fringed detailing

I LOVE that weird print with the faces on it. Such rich colors, what a great combo!
I wanted to mention – Kudos to Posen for having Plus-size model, Crystal Renn, on the runway. I wish many more Plus-sized(=normal) models would find themselves booked for such big fashion shows!
(:
I love it – punk dolls! I’d also like to see it on members of The Like (esp. Tennessee Thomas), Little Boots and Katie White of The Ting Tings.
Bright colourful and loud, without being overtly ostentatious or abrasive. Can’t wait for Zac’s show in Paris.
