Sofia Coppola’s new movie “Somewhere,” won the top Golden Lion prize at the 2010 Venice Film Festival on Saturday.
The Director is known for her understated minimalist style, so I was surprised to see her wearing such a striking floral print Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 dress.
Her belted blue and green dress with a sweetheart neckline and puffy skirt was paired with black LV wedges and a black LV clutch.
I wish she’d gone just one step further with this dramatic change and done something different with her hair.

I wish she would have worn a necklace but she looks pretty and I don’t ever remember her in floral.
i prefer how the model wears it!better belt and hair!
I was ecstatic about her win yesterday. Love her look as alwasy. She’s so effortless and relaxed. The hair could’ve been different, but it’s Sofia… I think she even paired her MJ gown with flats on the night she won her Oscar.
I can hear Jessica Alba shouting at her stylist for not getting her to wear this dress first
I think that’s a great look for her, even if hair and shoes are always the same.
Yay! I’m so glad she won, and she looks great – some kind of neck thingy would have been nice, but she still looks wonderful regardless.
Baby steps
I like the dress better on the model. For some reason, it makes her body look square.
i prefer the runway colour.
