Some of you may know I have a weakness for electric blue, so I was giddy with excitement to see Carina Lau wearing my favourite red carpet colour.
The Asian actress stood out on the red carpet wearing a Versace Fall 2010 gown to the “Detective Dee and the Mystery of Phantom Flame” Premiere during the 2010 Venice Film Festival on Sunday evening.
Her thigh-high split gown has an asymmetrical neckline which was embellished with silver crystals.
I love how her hair is pulled back so we can see all that detail and her gorgeous drop earrings.
Her look was paired with silver Versace heels.

Carina also wore Versace to the photocall earlier in the day.
Her black one sleeve Versace Fall 2010 dress has an exposed zipper and an asymmetrical hemline.
I love that we are seeing so much Versace on the red carpet lately.
Black Ferragamo pumps, a silver bracelet and her adorable bouncy bob completes this look.

Both dresses are gorgeous, but the second one is simply amazing. She pulled it off with such grace!
I like the simplicity of both dresses =) similar to Michelle yeoh (48 y.o.), carina lau is 45 y.o. any pictures for bingbing li pls?
I love it too! At first I thought we wouldn’t see so much FW Versace because this collection is so bold. I hope even Brake Lively will wear something cause I have a passione for her.
Thanks for posting both looks FC.
I really love the second look – so simple and feminine.
Agree with all the comments plus love the fact that shes not making the bold gown look tacky.. just adore the second look
I really dislike both of these dresses..the cut, the colour the material, even the way the blue dress fall just before the floor looks really tacky and amateur. Just cos its versace doesnt mean its great.
I LOVE the first look but she doesnt look to happy to be in it. I hate to bring it up but if Blake wore this, she’d be working the hell out of this gown
I agree with you about Blake.
this is the same dress that cassie wore to the MET this year. http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2010/05/04/2010-costume-institute-gala-red-carpet-%e2%80%93-cassie-in-versace/
thanks for that
no prob, i pray your cold goes away for ny fashion week
thanks sweetie
Damn! She missed my dress
At least I’m good at wishing brands
I like her version of the dress better than the runway’s.
I am not usually a fan of asymmetrical hems or one-sleeved dresses, but for some reason, I like this one. It may just be that this woman can pull off these two trends on one dress.
Love the curly hair.
Happy to see Versace for sure, but I think the second look should have been toughened up a bit. I love it as it appears OTR, but Carina’s pose, poufy hair and shoes all sweeten it up too much for me
