Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Pleasantly Surprised Award
I have to give credit to Kim Kardashian as she nailed it on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards tonight.

I’m often baffled why she’s so famous considering the way she became famous, but forget about that because she blew me away tonight.

Her Marchesa Resort 2011 white silk chiffon column gown with a draped bodice had a beautiful Egyptian neckline detail and full flowing train.

I like how she kept her accessories to a minimum by just pairing her gown with a Lorraine Schwartz cuff which complemented the neckline of her gown.

I think she needs to take over from Ryan Seacrest, because she asked Lea Michele all the right questions on the red carpet tonight.

Best Couture Award
When Claire Danes was front row at the Armani Privé Fall 2010 Couture presentation she was clearly shopping for her 2010 Emmy Awards gown.

I hope you managed to see this gown on TV because this picture isn’t doing her nor the gown justice, she was a major knock-out.

Her muted bronze Swarovski encrusted crystals and sequin beading so far blows everyone else out of the water.

The gown has a crescent shaped bodice, mermaid silhouette and a cascading train.

Claire will be presenting tonight, plus she’s nominated in the “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie” category for her portrayal of autism pioneer Temple Grandin in the HBO Films’ production, “Temple Grandin.”

Sexy Back Award
On Friday I showed you the sketch of Maria Menounos’ Ralph & Russo custom gown.

I prayed that she would bring the gown to life and she didn’t let me down.

I love a sexy low-cut back, but this gown also has a cut-out on the side.

The gown is adorned with more than 15,000 hand sewn Swarovski Elements, and was inspired by 1920s old Hollywood glamour.

Some of you wished this gown had been given to an A list star, but I think Maria more than does this gown justice.

It’s old Hollywood perfection which is complete with her wavy updo.

Breath-taking.

Best Of British Award
Jayma Mays almost looks like a totally different person from her Pre-Emmy Awards look.

The “Glee” actress looked very beautiful at the 2010 Emmy Awards tonight wearing a classic Burberry Prorsum strapless gown.

The divine ruffles give the look a whimsical feel, whilst the hair and the gold jewels adds the glamour.

A black sparkling clutch and navy blue nail varnish to match her dress completes this stunning look.

Most Improved Award
I said earlier this week that “Glee” actress Jane Lynch has yet to wow us on the red carpet, well she wowed me at the 2010 Emmy Awards tonight.

I actually have goosebumps which is always way to confirm when someone looks good on the red carpet.

Jane wore a stunning eggplant Ali Rahimi asymmetrical gown which she paired with a Swarovski’s silver crystal clutch with 3-D flower detail.

The gown gives her a beautiful silhouette, the colour is great and she’s totally feeling her gown.

Much improved.
