Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: August 2010

Continuous Improvement Award
Tina Fey was nominated at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night in the “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy” category for “30 Rock”.

I loved the art deco-style black embroidered details on her Oscar de la Renta Resort 2011 gown.

Her retro ponytail really added a lot to the feel of her old Hollywood look.

I’m surprised she made so many worst dressed lists. I think she looks great.

What’s not to love? It isn’t boring and it flatters her figure.

If would change one thing it would be to remove her bracelet.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a black VBH clutch completed her look.

White Hot Award
Julie Benz shone brightly on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night.

The “Dexter” actress looked absolutely stunning wearing a white silk one shoulder Pamella Roland gown with a beaded cut-out hip detail.

Her look was paired with a Judith Leiber clutch and Jacob & Co. jewels.

I loved the necklace despite the asymmetrical neckline, but I wasn’t too fond of her ponytail swept to the front.

Far From Being A Boring Black Gown Award
Usually we see Julianna Margulies wear Narciso Rodriguez, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus donned one of his stunning black gowns on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night.

Julia was nominated in the “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy” category for “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”

She wowed in her black column Narcisco Rodriguez dress with a sheer panel just above the midriff and a beaded bodice.

A black satin Christian Louboutin “Pharaon” clutch was added to her look, but she added some colour with her green Irene Neuwirth jewelry.

Pretty In Pink Award
Mariska Hargitay always shines on the red carpet and the 2010 Emmy Awards red carpet was no exception.

The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” actress gave us old-school glamour wearing a blush pink Vera Wang strapless gown which hugged her sexy curves.

I love the chiffon train and the details on the bodice, but not the pleats on the hip.

The gown would’ve been too plain without those details so for that I’m thankful.

Fred Leighton jewels and a sleek updo complete her look.

Botanical Beauty Award
Toni Collette was nominated at the 2010 Emmy Awards in the “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy” for “The United States of Tara”.

The Australian actress wore a dramatic masterpiece on the red carpet.

Her strapless grey Valentino Resort 2011 gown had a divine botanical hem.

I’m glad she didn’t over accessorize.

I love the colour and appreciate that this strapless style works well for Toni.

Bochic jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.

Eva Amurri was the plus one for her mother, Susan Sarandon at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night.

What do you do when your mother is this hot?

Eva looked beautiful wearing a blush pink charmeuse vintage Thierry Mugler strapless gown from Decades, but her mother in Donna Karan was an absolute KNOCK-OUT.

I can’t take my eyes off her.

Tim Robbins is somewhere kicking himself right about now.

The nominee in the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie” for “You Don’t Know Jack” wore black sequin Donna Karan gown which sat slightly off-the-shoulder and draped exquisitely.

Susan completed her look with Anita Ko jewels, whilst Eva added Jimmy Choo peep-toes and Cartier jewels to her look.
