Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: August 2010

‘Lost’ actress Elizabeth Mitchell glowed in a gorgeous gold embellished Roberto Cavalli gown which she teamed with a gold Judith Lieber clutch at the 62nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

Clare Grant shimmered wearing an asymmetrical light pink sequined Rachel Gilbert gown which she teamed with a gold Jimmy Choo ‘tube’ clutch.

She was one of my favourites at this event.

Jennifer Stone opted for a cream Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 haltered dress.

I wish she’d opted for something with colour.

The detail on this gorgeous gown stops her from looking totally washed out.

The 62nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place in LA yesterday, with many stars opting to go short.

Miranda Cosgrove of course went short.

The teen star opted for an adorable Marchesa silver embroidered strapless mini dress which she wore with our second ‘favourite’ red carpet heels – the Casadei triple platform pumps.

A two-tone Genevieve Jones clutch completed the look.

Mel B looked beautiful wearing a black silk strapless WTB Fall 2010 dress with leather peplum.

Mel continued the black theme pairing her dress with a black clutch and black peep-toes.

I’m hot just looking at her.

WTB is designed by designer/musician Nikki Lund and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The collection premiered during LA Fashion Week back in March.

It’s a tad unfortunate that Mary Lynn Rajskub’s strapless BCBG Max Azria dress looks a little too tight on the bust, because her dress with the frothy tiered ruffled skirt is gorgeous and perfect for red carpet on a gloriously sunny day.

Chelsea Staub also opted for a cute frothy look.

Her BCBG Max Azria strapless pleated dress was worn with matching pumps.

I love the pop of colour via her red clutch.

Wanda Sykes opted for a autumn plum sparkler which she teamed with a silver Judith Leiber clutch and matching peep-toes.

Kristin Chenoweth looked gorgeous wearing a custom Matthew Christopher blue strapless dress with silver embellished details.

Silver Jimmy Choo heels complemented her mini.

Leighton Meester was your Best Dressed this week wearing a Nanette Lepore Lady Gambler printed dress.

I was surprised to learn that many of you were not happy about her inclusion in the poll because this look was an on-set look rather than a red carpet look.

I think Joy speaks for all those who voted for Leighton when she said, “All of the stars in the poll are styled by some stylist. Why would Rachel Zoe be different than Eric Daman?”

As much as I loved how Leighton’s tropical dress captured my eye, I was totally in love with Angelina Jolie this week.

Promoting “Salt” she gave us a variety of looks and managed to steer clear of black until the very end.

I had a huge internal battle between her Elie Saab dress and the Pamella Roland dress.

Roland wins because it was the most beautiful she looked all week.

She glowed as she took my breath away.
