Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: August 2010

It wasn’t only Jessica Alba who was showing off her toned legs in a mini dress on the red carpet last night, Serena Williams was too.

Though in Williams’ case it more leg than legs, as she’s still wearing a cast.

The beautiful tennis star was the host of the “Hamptons Magazine Cover Party” in association with Grey Goose at Pranna Restaurant in New York.

She dazzled wearing a Dolce & Gabbana leopard print dress which is very much on trend.

The colour is divine against her skin-tone; her hair and make-up are flawless.

Serena just gets better and better for me on the red carpet. Long may it continue.

Definitely a BDOTW contender.

The colourful polka dots of the D&G Pre-Fall 2010 collection has been quite popular with celebrities.

Eva Herzigova was spotted wearing this collection first when she arrived at the Majestic Hotel during Cannes Film Festival.

She wore her multi-coloured polka dot dress under her pink D&G coat paired with Giuseppe Zanotti ankle boots and a Dolce & Gabbana’s Miss Sicily bag.

Rihanna fell in love with the D&G polka dots when she wore this adorable jumpsuit to her after tour party.

The look worked perfectly with her red hair as she wore her jumpsuit with Christian Louboutin Big Lips pumps.

At the Angel Awards Hollywood 2010, Sara Rue’s shoe of choice was also Louboutin which she paired with her flirty D&G polka dot dress.

Other celebs such as Christina Hendricks and Emma Bunton have been spotted wearing this mini trend too.

There is a variety of D&G polka dot looks online from a chiffon blouse with pussy bow tie, spotted silk-crepe mini dress, a ruffled polka dress and a polka dot wrap dress.

January Jones who plays housewife Betty Draper in the Emmy award-winning TV drama Mad Men, is the cover star for Tatler UK’s September 2010 issue.

The blonde actress looks very regal in her shoot with Robert Erdmann, which shot on a ranch outside of LA.

January confirms in her interview that she’s not leaving ‘Man Men’.

She first she heard about the rumors that she was leaving ‘Mad Men’ from her parents.

She states that she’s under contract and that ‘Mad Men’ wouldn’t be ‘Mad Men’ without Betty Draper.

January is proud that the show is bringing back the idea that it’s okay for women have curves.

She confesses that she has learned to love the girdle she wears to help her achieve her hourglass looks. “It gives you such a nice shape,” she says.

You won’t be surprised to see that Prada and Louis Vuitton feature in her editorial as both collections were inspired by the hit drama.

You may remember that Emily Blunt wore this same Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 dress on a recent photo shoot.

At first I thought stars were too busy to get their roots done, but the two-tone look has turned into a full blown trend.

Ombre hair is here to stay whether we approve or not.

Former MTV “The Hills” reality star Kristin Cavallari is the latest star to embrace this trend, as she was spotted leaving the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills yesterday showing off her new do.

Her Farrah Fawcett style included some extra layers and extra colour.

We all know Kristin is a full blonde, so it’s clear she asked for the darker colour on top to jump on the ombre hair trend.

Other fans of this look are Drew Barrymore, Erin Wasson, Nicole Richie, Rachel Bilson and the pioneer Alexa Chung.

Are any of you sporting this trend?

If you are too worried about dying your hair you can always add hair pieces to try to achieve the same look.
