Jessica Alba dropped by the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City yesterday for her appearance on “Late Show with David Letterman” to promote her new movie “Machete” which opens September 3rd.
After arriving in a chic all black Yigal Azrouël ensemble with white triple strap Louboutin’s below, she met the fans wearing a Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 dress.
This commercial dress uses the frilly blue fabric which was seen on Look 21.
The dress so cute and girlie.
Jessica sure does love a babydoll dress, but she kinda lets herself down with the Opening Ceremony heels.
Her blue velvet heels don’t quite work on a summers day with a cute frilly dress.
Do you agree?

The shoes are too heavy for the dress. Loving the black ensemble below, though.
Jessica looked like a robot doll with mismatched feet because a software glitch happened when she was moving along the assembly line. I like the dress and hair, but the shoes … oh god … it’s also possible she stole them from Anna Piaggi.
You’re so right about the glitch in the computer program! Too funny…
What is that velvet?
The dress is sooo cute, the shoes are a no!
LOL…. “Coming to America”
Exactly, LOL!
Sorry to disagree with you, I think the shoes are a very interesting choice for the outfit. Without them it would have been just a cute outfit.
I agree with you. Shoes are very beautiful and original. And dress is also very cute .
I hate her for being so wonderful, she looks like a doll! Actually I liked the colour of the shoes with the dress, it breaks that “cute” effect.
I agree about the heels.
First the colour doesn’t work.
Second, the dress is a very light Summer dress and the heels are made of velvet which is a Winter material..
shoes: the colour is fab the texture is wrong. i agree entirely
Agree with LeeAnn, beautiful colour but wrong shoes
I think this is one of the cases that the idea is fine – heavy heels to make the look less girlie – but the execution failed. Maube because the shoes seem to be velvet covered? I stil think it could work with shoes a tad less heavier.
I think I see what they wanted with those heels but they are far too heavy (and warm).
The dress reminds me of a recent Stella McCartney collection, with the wide ruffles on the neckline and hem.
I’m hating the white Louboutins with her total black look (which otherwise is quite cool).
I might have liked the shoes if they were something other than velvet – I don’t really like her hair with this outfit either…..
neither shoe choice makes any sense, though I’m not a fan of either shoe regardless of what they’d be paired with.
I’m surprised with myself, but I disagree!
I love the look! Without the shoes it would be just one more cute look.
Love that shoes!
Oh my God! I want this dress SOOO bad!
Ok, I honestly hate photos from this picapp page. There is no way to download it!
People hated the pop ups, so I tried to reduce that by adding picapp pictures, now you’re complaining about the picapp pictures.
I just can’t win
I like the fact that the dress looks a bit “edgier” and more interesting with the shoes, actually. Also I love the hairdo. ^_^ All in all it’s a very nice look!
But, to be honest, I prefer her look on the second picture. I don’t know why but I simply think she looks amazing. ^_^
Sorry FC, I didn’t mean it like complain directed to you, it’s only a general annoyance on picapp pages.
And for the record – I’m ok with pop-ups
As for Alba, the dress is nice, shoes – not so much. She usually looks cute in this girlie dresses, but this one somehow doesn’t seem right for her.
not to worry.
I get so confused
whether the shoes go with her dress or not she sure makes interesting shoe choices…unlike some…;)
As much as I want to like the dress, it looks too much like a negligee.
The dress look like something a little girl would wear and the shoes are terrible. They are too heavy for the dress. I like the pants ensemble Jessica has on that looks good.
LOVE the dress but like everyone else Im thinking why is she so allergic to nice footwear
