But just imagine how difficult it is narrowing down the girls, there were tons of amazing dresses on the red carpet as well.

very few of these looks would have made my top ten, but of this bunch i have no problem giving my vote to diana agron; she looked great.

I adore Maria’s dress. Simple yet elegant with just enough sparkle all around. She has my vote!
Both Jennifer and Lea Michelle dresses look super heavy with the hair and jewels.
Kim looks plastic in the face doesn’t glow with the dress. I think it was the 3rd greek inspired look on the carpet. Rose Bryne made it clean and simple looking. Sofia should have done something different altogether, hair and dress!
January Jones didn’t make the cut? I mean, I know she managed to completely ruin a dress that was so perfect I thought no one could ruin it, but still! Looking at these pictures together I just found everything so blah…
Perfect fit played a big part in which of these 12 looks were my favorites. I really thought Claire Danes would be my pick when I went to bed last night, but then I saw Jennifer Carpenter, one of my RC favs, this morning and couldn’t resist voting for her. I also really liked Kyra, Kim K, Rose Byrne and, after repeated viewings, Dianna’s Carolina Herrera. Just to say too, that I thought FC got all the choices right……there were other quite interesting dresses, but always something that didn’t quite work for me (like Kelly Osbourne, for example – i too disliked her hair, and so on….)

For me it was a three-way tie with Jewel, Maria Menounos and Kelly Osbourne. Since only two made the poll, I was torn between Jewel and Maria but ultimately went with Maria.
Nina Dobrev for sure, she was stunning. In her absence, I had to go with Maria. I’m not feeling Dianna…I think she belongs on a cake. LOL

I’m really surprised everyone is now saying they loved January when every comment panned her on her post.
Lea for look elegant, timeless, and still edgy. I love her whole look. Estee Stanley and Mark Townsend did a fab job.
Though not the best dress on its own merits, I had to choose Jennifer Carpenter as I thought she just looked smashing; she really sold it to me.
I was dismayed at Emily Blunt’s Dior – such a let down. So many beauties this was a hard choice.
And can we automatically assign all of the votes for the Kardashian’s dress to Rose Byrne, since her Gucci is what Kim’s Marchesa wants to be when it grows up?

Rose Byrne in Gucci! Forgot to comment on your post about her – too many gorgeous looks to keep track of. I was torn between Rose (Hugh Dancy’s love interest in “Adam”) and Claire (Hugh Dancy’s wife in reality), but this Gucci dress looked a bit more sexy and playful, so it wins for me.

Such a shame not to see Mariska Hargitay on this list. In my opinion, Diana Argon, Kyra Sedgwick and Anna Paquin look ridiculous. If I had to choose one person I’d go with Claire Danes but I’m not voting as Mariska is my Best Dressed. What a shame.. Thanks for covering the event though.
Mariska’s dress wasn’t that outstanding – it wasn’t very flattering to her hips or waist; she looked lumpy where normally she looks so svelte.

I pretty much loved Christina Hendricks purely because it takes alot of effort to control the voluptousity (ooh, a new word) but i went with Claire Danes. Simple, sparkly, and elegant. She dressed like a winner.
OMG! Thanks FC for the amazing coverage! This year’s Emmys is such an improvement…everyone was bringing their A game onto the red carpet. You must have had one tough time deciding the top 10. Hopefully future red carpets will be as good as this one (of not much much better..hehe).
