Lea Michele got to spend her birthday on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards tonight.
The “Glee” actress wore an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2011 navy silk taffeta sweetheart neckline gown with burst of organza flamenco ruffles on the skirt.
Lea’s dress is similar to co-star Jayma Mays, but you get more drama from Lea’s gown.
The bangs are starting to take place nicely and I spot some lightly coloured highlights.
Her Lorraine Schwartz necklace is to-die-for and adds so much to this spectacular look.

Best dressed of the night for me
I agree – a spectacular look. Lea does justice to this dress and looks infinitely better than the model, especially sans cardigan.
Woops! On closer inspection with glasses, “cardi” is an embellished cropped jacket! Don’t mind it but not with this dress.
Love this look. The navy is spectacular on her. And it seems Lea and Oscar have their pairing on autopilot. Seems the Emmy nom has cleaned up Lea’s style. After being nominated, she’s been looking like every bit the Emmy nom she is. Yet another great look from this RC.
I love love love the dress but I wish she had her off her shoulders in a messy updo, I think a bit of bare shoulder would have made the dress look so much more incredible!
Of the looks you’ve posted so far, this is my best dressed! Love the gown, love the necklace, love the hair down (it’s very “Emmys” to me, rather than a formal Oscars updo.)

the navy is wonderful on her (and there’s been so many navy dresses tonight – a good trend, i feel) and i love, love the accessories.
Ruffles overkill, depending on the angle they look really bed. I love her necklace, but the dress just does not work for me.
She just looks like shes trying too hard. Great for her figure, but it would be better for prom. I dont like all the ruffles with that fabric. I think i might like it better if she had her in an up do. The necklace is too much also.
Try hard and too fussy.
She always look 100x better than the models. I like her hair down, younger looking, but it was a bit windy at times.

Oscar’s ruffled dressed are so yesterday. Seen this sorta dress a million times. THUMBS down from me.

I wish she had worn the jacket (and lost the necklace) – I think she could have pulled it off; but as is, it’s a pass for me (love her hair though, and wow on the figure).

from the neck up she looks gorgeous but from the neck down its horrible, she looks so skinny now and its not very attractive!
I like it, but I dont love it at all! I dont like her hair that way, she should have pulled it up! The contrast of colors on her hair I dont like it. Black and egg yellow.

When I saw her wear black as I was a bit disappointed but then I saw the full dress and it was WOW!!
