We all know how much Olivia Palermo loves Bensoni, but it was Jennifer Love Hewitt who was the first to wear this purple animal print dress from the designers Spring 2010 collection.
The actress/author wore the dress back in March when she signed copies of her new book, “The Day I Shot Cupid”, at Barnes and Noble at Huntington Beach, California.
She kept her look very minimal by only adding black cut-out wedges.
Olivia wore her Bensoni dress to Elie Saab’s Fall 2010 Couture presentation.
Known for her impeccable style and keen eye for accessorizing, Olivia paired her dress with a contrasting animal print belt, nude t-bar heels and a silver clutch.
Olivia wins easily for me because her accessories make the look.
I recently purchased a Topshop leopard print belt in an attempt to recreate the clashing prints. I hope I pull it off as well as Olivia.

love Olivia!
just a quick question FC, if i may. I know this is your job…but how much time to do you spend shopping, going into stores, browsing online etc to find the original designer version, and high street equivalents? or is it just some kind of magic you possess….:)
I spend a lot of time browsing online and going to stores like Selfridges, Harvey Nicks, Harrods just to see what’s out there.
I see it as research, but also torture as I can’t afford to shop in those stores
I think Olivia looks better – but I don’t like the belt. I think it does need a belt though to give it shape.
Ugh can’t JLH go away.
JLH is fat… Huge legs!
is strongly disagree
You either have the eye for that extra touch or dont..she clearly knows who she is and what works for her. Unlike Jess Simpson who looked a mess at some dior event. wondered what you would think if you caught it
I nearly cried when I saw Jessica.
ROFL! the image in her head must be very different from what the rest of us see. think she is in some kind of denial
FC! I almost bought the exact same Topshop leopard belt today.. BUT I just realized that I left my discount voucher at home. So I’ll have to buy it tomorrow!
I agree the dress looks better with the belt on like Olivia’s. definitely olivia wins for me.
It gorgeous.
I miss my topshop student discount
Me too!
this isn’t even close!
I went with Olivia.
I love the dress. As much as I love animal print (it’s my favorite color LOL!), it doesn’t belong with the dress. However, the rest of the styling is good. I also like that Olivia pulled her hair back.
I agree that the dress needs a belt, but I didn’t like the one Olivia added. I also didn’t like the other nude/silver accessories with this look.
Olivia P. definitely wore it better.
The leopard print belt adds an unexpected twist & I feel it works perfectly!
Love Olivia’s look! I have couple of Bensoni items too, they are amazing!
But who is the maker of Olivia’s nude shoes?
French sole
