Without even needing to conduct a poll, the Worst Dressed Of The Week Award goes to Maria Sharapova.
The tennis star is usually on point when it comes to style, so I’m shocked at how she got it all so tragically wrong at the “Evian’s Baby On The Inside Advertisement Promotion” held at the Openhouse Gallery in New York City yesterday.
I think we need to start off with her t-shirt with the headless baby in a diaper.
Seriously?
Granted the event is all about the “baby on the inside”, but that tee is creepy and not at all cute.
Her Spring 2010 3.1 Phillip Lim sequined shorts with foldover waist detail don’t seem to work with any other piece to her rather strange look, but it does work well with her tan.
A black satin blazer and black peep-toes complete the look.
This is a serious case of dressing in the dark.
Maria needs to redeem herself.
Quickly.

I don’t think the shirt has to be taken that seriously,she doesnt wanted to be fashion she just wanted to play with the theme of the Evian ad, which features people wearing that tee with a baby on it.

She’s going for quirky and it doesn’t work for her. I can see Chloe Sevigny pulling it off.

Those shorts make her look like she has a penis. They look better on the runway.
I guess her head is supposed to be the baby’s head. Still a little creepy, though. The shorts are more of a fashion disaster, IMO, than the t-shirt.

The rest of the outfit is ok, but the t shirt remind sme of tricia walsh smith’s find a clff to jumpoff in devon “music” video. Literally scariest thing ever.

To be fair, she didn’t arrive in the Baby-T. She wore a simple white tank at first and then “got changed” into the baby-t for the photo op.
The shorts are still hideous, but her shoes aren’t black. but dark blue velvet Cole Haan sandals. Her own collection, btw.

Kinda not fair for her to be put down for the outfit…I’m a tennis blogger, I was at the event, and I can tell you she wore a cute tank and was forced to switch into the shirt, which is part of Evian’s campaign, for the shoot. Minus the shirt it’s actually cute.

Only positive thing I have to say
I find that the shorts work with the t-shirt because she looks as though she’s wearing a diaper.
If the shorts fit better, then I think that the outfit would have worked. And, I have seen this shirt somewhere else before.
I don’t think it’s all that bad. Yes the shirt is creepy and makes her look like a child killer but besides that it’s all good. I do like the shorts.
i think she looks good, and normally those shorts would look hideous, but with her height and legs she really pulls it off. i don’t mind the shirt at all – why do we give credit to Chloe for going quirky and not to Masha? she is usually demure and classy, so she deserves a credit for exploring the other side – FC always points out how she wished someone like Angelina or Julia Roberts would stop playing it safe, and I totally agree. Good look, full stop!
