As I said earlier, Drew Barrymore’s Malandrino Resort 2010 gold brocade dress has been worn twice before.
Firstly by the designer herself Catherine Malandrino, and secondly by her BFF Mary J Blige.
Catherine wore her dress back in June when she attended the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards.
She paired her dress matching embellished ankle strap sandals and a clutch covered in silver paillette’s.
Mary hosted an ‘Evening at Cipriani’ in New York when she wore her Malandrino gown just 10 days after her friend.
The R&B singer paired her dress with YSL Tribute sandals, a silver clutch and diamond bracelet.
It’s unusual to see a celeb like Drew Barrymore wear a well worn gown, but she did at her “Going The Distance” LA Premiere last night.
As much as I didn’t like Drew’s Trib Two choice, I loved how her Balmain belt gave this dress a whole new look.
I’m not a fan of mixing metals and since Catherine and Mary both carried silver clutch with this gold dress, Drew wins for me.

I resent having to vote for Drew because her shoe choice is ruinous. But her coloring and the Balmain belt overshadow Ms. Malandrino’s superior shoe choice, so she wins for me, from the ankle up.
Not sure any of them. The dress makes them all look like Jiffypop.
DREW ALL THE WAY! She looks STUNNING!
I think it looks best on Catherine. Her dark hair with the gold dress looks great and her shoes compliment the dress too. Mary and Drew shoes don’t go with dress.
The belt is perfect!
Mixing metals completely aside, Drew looks INCREDIBLE. I thought this dress would make anyone who wears it look drop dead gorgeous, but it really doesn’t look like very much on Catherine or Mary. Drew ROCKS this. Love the belt.
I think one problem with this dress on Drew is that it is too long–it is dragging ont he ground which affects the line of the skirt–and draws even more attention to the clunky shoes.
I voted for Drew because it fits too perfection. In all honesty, I hate the dress.
It was a battle of shoes (Catherine) and belt (Drew) for me. And I think the belt adds a lot to this look while shoes just compliment the dress, so Drew wins this one.
