Dree Hemingway is the great-granddaughter of Ernest and daughter of Mariel.
On Dree resume she’s noted as both an actress and a model.
Most of us will know her more as a model, as she’s appeared in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Gianfranco Ferré, Salvatore Ferragamo, Paco Rabanne and DKNY.
You may have seen her editorials for Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro and Vogue and she’s walked for Givenchy, Calvin Klein, House of Holland, Karl Lagerfeld, Giles, Chanel and Rue du Mail during Fashion Week.
Most recently I’ve been turned onto her red carpet style. As she loves to have fun on the red carpet.
She’s fearless and she’s not afraid of colour.
For major events Dree really amps up the glamour.
At the recent Salvatore Ferragamo’s “Attimo” Fragrance Launch party, Dree opted for a dark and mystery shimmering Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2010 gown with a peek-a-boo bra.
For 2010 Convivio she wore a red hot Valentino Pre-Fall 2010 dress with Valentino studded heels. I love the contrasting colours with this look.
One of my favourite looks of the year is still Dree’s Valentino Spring 2010 Couture dress.
Not everyone has been able to make this collection work for them (Claire Danes and Naomi Campbell spring to mind), but Dree carried this look off with great aplomb at the 2010 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during Cannes Film Festival.
Dree also attended the “Of Gods And Men” Premiere during Cannes.
She seems to love to stand out in red as she wore an Emilio Pucci silk chiffon red gown.
Although Dree has been the face of several brands, it seems she’s a Calvin Klein girl at heart.
These minimalist mostly white looks are in stark contrast to the OTT glamour we see above.
It’s not all Couture gowns for Dree on the red carpet.
She can do casual too.
For “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” New York screening she opted for a grey look which included an American Apparel tee, self made skirt which looks a lot like a Isabel Marant skirt and Louboutin heels.
On most those half denim-half leather pants from Mango’s Fall 2009 collection would be a total disaster, but Drew makes them look cool.
Her model uniform is very typical with leather skinny pants which frankly only models can pull off.
She also incorporates other model staples such as Isabel Marant boots, skinny jeans, a leather jacket, a parker, a Balenciaga bag and plenty of attitude.
