“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley was one of the stars invited to InStyle’s Summer Soiree in LA last night.
The British presenter flashed us that cute smile which we all adore as she posed in her gorgeous J. Mendel Spring 2010 dress.
The white and peach tulle dress is festooned with a ruffle detail on the hip which cascades down her skirt.
I kinda wish she’d pulled her hair back, as it feels like it competing for attention again the detail on her skirt, but that could just be down to her pose.
Jimmy Choo silver heels complete the look.
Do you love this look as much as I do?
Would you like to see this up for BDOTW?

I’m pretty sure she wore this on air for last night’s So You Think You Can Dance Finale too…I loved it!
Absolutly !
She wore that dress on the SYTYCD finale, and she was gorgeous !
i love it….i would prefer the hair back as well though…
I would be sold if she wore her hair up with it, but with it down it kills the look for me.
I love it! She’s such a cutie!
BDOTW contender!
I would have preferred if the pulled back her hair too, but I can’t blame her – look at those golden locks!
BDOTW for sure
I love her hair. It’s the dress that I don’t like. It’s waaaay too much going on. Different colors, pleating, and that panel of flowers (?) on the side are overwhelming.
I would like the dress more if the panel of ruffles (?) were removed. Then, the hair would be perfect, and the dress wouldn’t be so busy.
Way too much going on with that dress for my taste.
I love it, but agree that it’d be better if she had pulled her hair back. I was so sad when my favorite contestant Alex left SYTYCD due to injury, and I stopped watching this season. I’m glad I get to follow Cat’s fashion on this blog.
I should hate this dress because it looks like it was designed by A Little Shop Of Horrors but I love it on Cat -on Jessica Simpson probably not so much.
I think the hair’s fine but the silver shoes make it look a bit too prom-y for me! Might’ve preferred something more matchy-matchy
I agree with mochababe73,it’s way too much going on, I especially dislike the “flower” detail,it feels a lot fussy.
IMO it’s not BDOTW worthy.
I had this dress picked out for Ashley Greene as I thought she would love it. The hair is going against the dress and I really dont like her pose. I really like Cat but she has yet to make me fall head over heels in a look
Not my favorite but it looks far much better on her than on the model, it looks terrible on her!!!
I absolutely love the dress… on the model.
Maybe it’s the picture but on Cat it looks DIY and kind of cheap.
Too bad we can’t see the shoulder straps as they were my favorite thing about this dress.
Loved it!
It looks like her hair is competing with the dress, which would definitely be the winner for me – I mean, it’s long, somewhat blond & curly. But the woman in the yellow dress with red shoes back left is really interesting!
First thing that came to mind was that I was hating her hair. like you said it should have been pulled back.
I really do like this look. It’s so refreshing! LOL
I love the dress.. it looks great on the model. cat also carries it well but u r right abt the hair.. I alos wish her shoes were better.. don’t love em
I love this dress! It looks like so youthful.
