When I saw Cameron Diaz on the red carpet with Tom Cruise this evening in London for their “Knight and Day” Premiere my question was, “why are celebs dressing down on the red carpet in London?”

First we had Marion Cotillard wearing a beachy Thakoon dress, now we have Cameron Diaz wearing a sweater dress.

A Stella McCartney sweater dress, but a sweater dress none the less.

And that’s not even the real issue. My issue is we’ve seen Stella McCartney sweater dresses so many times before. This is nothing new.

I don’t like this look from the dress to the peep-toes.

Cameron may have got my vote had she opted for silver strappy sandals, but this gets nil points from me.

Vanessa Bruno is another out-of-town designer, who’s keen to get young Hollywood wearing her clothes.

UK stars like Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole know all about Vanessa Bruno, so Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth were formally introduced at a dinner party in LA last night.

Rachel mixed two pieces from Vanessa Bruno’s Spring 2010 collection.

I absolutely love this look from head-to-toe.

Her look included a Vanessa Bruno cape style blazer with a striped top and an orange Vanessa Bruno skirt.

An embellished clutch and tan sandals complete this chic look.

This is the first time in a long time I’ve loved a Rachel Bilson red carpet look.

This is BDOTW worthy for me.

Kate Bosworth enjoys her second night out in a row with a fabulous designer.

The blonde actress wore an orange Vanessa Bruno Spring 2010 spaghetti strap dress which had a high-low hemline.

A matching Vanessa Bruno puff-sleeved asymmetrical blouse worn as a cardigan and matchy Jonathan Kelsey ‘Amy’ pumps complete the look.

I love matchy matchy looks, but even this is too one tone for me.

Rachel showed much more imagination with her look.

Rihanna attended an exclusive after party for her following her “Last Girl On Earth” show last night in Hollywood.

Whatever Rihanna wears is heavily criticized, but on this occasion I love her look.

Her charmingly chic D&G Pre-Fall 2010 black and multi-coloured polka dot jumpsuit with an asymmetrical neckline puts the fun back into her closet.

Sometimes she tries too hard, but this relaxed approached to the red carpet is very refreshing.

Black strappy sandals would’ve been preferred, but I guess she wanted ensure her jumpsuit stood out.

It alarming how well her red hair works with this look.
