I was very excited to attend the Armani Privé Fall 2010 presentation during Paris Couture Fashion Week yesterday.
It was just as romantic as I always thought it would be.
The models glided down the runway at a soft leisurely pace, which I prefer as you get to take in all the details.
The first thing I noticed by the time Karlie Kloss (Look 6) took to the runway, was that the models who weren’t blonde were wearing blonde wigs.
The show opened with classic Armani knee-length skirt and pant suits in many warm shades of nude, biscuit, caramel, camel, gold and chocolate which were all waist defining and exquisitely tailored.
Luxe camel coats draped over the shoulder, rich brown leather jackets, cocktail dresses with asymmetrical necklines and a selection of crocodile bags and clutches were presented.
By Look 29 I was in my element as the gowns were presented. Most were strapless varying from fitted to A line.
The embellished looks caught my eye as they dazzled under the amber lights. I think I held my breath the whole time Carmen Kass walked the runway in her soft nude sequined gown. She is a true goddess of the runway.
This would look great on Gwyneth Paltrow or Claire Danes who was in the front row.
