This month’s Style Spotlight falls on Giovanna Battaglia.

The Italian born former Dolce & Gabanna model, is the fashion editor of L’Uomo Vogue and also works as a freelance stylist.

During Fashion Week she’s one of those effortless stylish women sitting in the front row.

She has over 3,300 people lusting over her style on Facebook, and style bloggers like Scott Schuman, Garance Dore, Tommy Ton love her too.

What I also love about her is that she’s not just a clothes horse. She had plenty of character and mounds of personality.

Giovanna’s style is elegant and classic, but she does do edgy from time to time.

She’s not afraid to repeat a look like Anna and Victoria Beckham.

But like VB, I much prefer Giovanna’s street style to her red carpet style.

Giovanna Battaglia arrived at this event with boyfriend Vladmir Restoin-Roitfeld.

Her Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 blue and pink dress looked stylish without looking comical. In fact she looks way better than the runway.

She teamed her mini dress with a pair of LV Fall 2009 lace up boots with a pink trim and a pink clutch from the same collection.

Her other recent red carpet looks I haven’t enjoyed as much, because of the high-necklines and the harshness of the Gucci look.

Her Valentino gown was exquisite though.

These are some of my favourite street style looks from Giovanna. They are so prim and lady-like with Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and Prada accessories bringing everything together.

I ache for her Maison Martin Margiela wedge boots.

When temperatures start to drop Giovanna still looks hot.

She goes from a Valentino ruffled neckline coat with pattern tights, to a bold red wool coat with YSL heels, to a tan leather coat with Roberto Cavalli boots, to a snug fur trimmed coat paired with Louis Vuitton boots.

Stylish, classic, quirky and cute.

She appears to love animal print.

So much so that she’s not afraid to wear print on print along with bright coloured accessories.

She’s not afraid to mix her metals either, wearing a silver ring with gold accessories including a Eddie Bargo pave con bracelet.

I simply could not agree with you more! I have been crushing on her style-and her, might I add- for about 55,000 light years. Whenever I get a glimpse of her on FashionTV F people bit, I’m a bit of an embarrassment because I can’t contain my excitement (^^,)

She’s one of the major reasons L’Uomo Vogue PWNS US dress-with-cardigan Vogue.

Glad you like her as I thought you weren’t into mix & match.

She has great style! But I have to say she looks a lot older than her actual age? I read somewhere that she is in her late 20s or 30? I thought she was closer to 40!

Neways, never heard of her b4 now but I lk her. She’s got a more mature style but not in a bad way. It still has an edge. Great post!

I would have sold an organ for the Cavalli boots when they came out.

I’m not eager for summer to be over, but her street looks totally inspire me to try new wardrobe combinations this fall!

It’s hard to pick a favorite look cause she always wears something you lust after. But she does look older than her age, that’s always bothered me a bit when I seen photos of her, it’s always perfect, interesting and all that, but in a funny way, it’s boring too….the looking older I mean.

I love, love, love the red wool coat! I’ve never heard of this woman before, but she is amazing. What a refreshingly wide range of style she wears – and hardly a black garment in the bunch. The Derek Lam is gorgeous on her too, but I agree with FC about the neckline.

I like how she always looks ladylike yet funky (check out those modest necklines and hems), but I find her style excessively brand-orientated, and her super-low hairline always throws me off.
