Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: May 2010

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon all changed into their party dresses for the “Sex And The City 2″ London Premiere after-party which was held at Orangery last night.

SJP wore a stunning ocean blue long sleeved maxi dress with gold accessories, whilst Kim wore a deep marine blue shimmering one-shoulder sequin David Meister dress.

Kristin continued her 100% record looking divine in a Christian Dior Haute Couture 1956 “Delphine” jade silk faille cocktail dress which is from…yep…Decades.

I’m loving her vintage couture obsession.

Taupe open-toe heels and a Judith Leiber clutch complete the look.

Cynthia Nixon wore an Erdem ‘Sendai’ strapless dress from the Spring 2010 collection, which has a black and white floral print.

She paired her dress with black peep-toes and a Judith Leiber clutch.

I think this look just reinforces the fact that I really don’t like her hair extensions.

British singer Estelle may spend a lot of her time in the US, but she still supports UK based designers.

Earlier this week she attended “The Reuben Foundation Haiti Fundraiser” in London wearing a big bird-like creation.

Her Nathan Jenden Fall 2010 feathered dress had a distinct ethnic feel to it with the print on the bodice.  I would have loved her to have worn matching accessories.

Again it’s not quite a summery look, but it is interesting.

What brings this look down is the bikini-type straps and the green open-toe ankle boots.

Could’ve been a contender.

Last night Alicia Keys hosted the “Keep A Child Alive Black Ball” in London.

The annual event helps raise money to provide care and support to orphans, and those affected by AIDS in Africa and India.

Alicia used the event to announce that not only is she engaged to music producer boyfriend, Swizz Beats but she’s also pregnant.

Maybe that is why she wore a one of a kind Dolce & Gabbana strapless ruffled cocktail dress with crystal detailing.

That’s one way to hide a baby bump.

The dress is very frou frou, but that was obviously the intention.

Whilst the dress is cute, her Louboutin’s are fierce.

I’m surprised Rihanna hasn’t worn them already, as they are very much her style.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

This week Matthew Williamson hosted a party with Belvedere to launch their latest beverage “Pink Grapefruit”.

He invited his muse and BFF Sienna Miller who really disappointed me.

We are in the mist of a mini heatwave here in London. So I’m shocked that despite having her pick from the 35 Matthew Williamson’s Spring 2010 looks, she opted for a gold mini dress from the Fall 2010. And it wasn’t even one of the prettier pieces.

I like do like the belt she wore with the dress along with her Camilla Skovgaard cut-out platform wedge boots, but it’s summer. Let’s celebrate it.

The Brit actress has recently proved she can’t kick her Jude Law obsession, and here she also proves that she can’t kick her Prada Saffiano & Tessuto tote obsession either.

Sienna has been carrying this tote since summer 2009, and it looks like it will be her summer 2010 bag too.

Love the new bangs though.

Little Boots aka Victoria Hesketh also opted for Fall 2010 dress and ironically wore sunglasses with her Autumn bronze look.

Very uninspiring.

Max Azria opened the doors to the first London BCBG store in London last night with a party attracting London society and girls about town.

Guests included Robert Hanson & Masha Markova, Goga Ashkenazi, Tamara & Giorgio Veroni, Tallulah Ormsby Gore, Francesca Versace, Ben Grimes, Jameela Jamil, Olivia Inge, Marissa Montgomery, Petra Ecclestone, Henry Conway, Jade McSorley (Britain’s Next Top Model Winner).

It was a great party with music played by celebrity DJ Ben Grimes, as we washed down the delicious profiteroles and other canapés with champagne.

The brand is not as well known to us here in the UK, but no doubt it will develop a huge fan base especially considering it’s central location and reasonable price points.

The store is located at 23-25 Kings Road, London, SW3.  Sloane Square is the nearest tube.
