Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: May 2010

This evening Michelle Williams gave us an official look at her blonder locks which we’ve seen in a few paparazzi pictures.

She joined her cast-mates  – which includes the dashing Ryan Gosling – on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of their movie, “Blue Valentine”.

I’m still undecided about her Chanel Spring 2010 Couture gown.

On the one hand the colour is beautiful and her decision to keep everything simple was perfect for a dress like this.

But on the other hand it’s making me thing of Jennifer Aniston’s Christan Lacroix Couture gown which looked like an expensive bathrobe.

For the photocall earlier today Michelle opted for a cute Suno Fall 2010 mini dress.

Her black astro dot print dress was paired with Stella McCartney ankle strap cork wedges.

I love how her hair is styled at this photocall.

If I ever decide to go short, this is the look I want to have.

French actress Juliette Binoche would’ve felt very much at home on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her new movie, “Certified Copy”.

She wore a Lanvin Spring 2010 gold lame dress which has to be my least favourite look on the red carpet so far.

I love that she supported French brand, but the dress is doing her zero favours.

I’m not sure what going on around her waist, but it’s not flattering plus the gathered detail looks like it’s caught it the mess that’s going on around her waist.

The Lanvin ankle strap heels are making her look like she’s got cankles.

The curse of the Lanvin Spring 2010 collection on the red carpet strikes again.

At the photocall earlier today Juliette opted for a Givenchy Spring 2010 ensemble with Givenchy open-toe heels.

Again it’s great that she supported another French brand, but Rebecca Hall wore this same look last month so any excitement about seeing this look has be nullified with de ja vu.

I’m been trying to find out if Fan Bingbing has become a L’Oreal girl, because she appears to be doing their job which is to bring interest and glamour onto the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival.

The Asian actress is the Queen of Cannes.

I think it’s about time I officially gave her that title as no one else has been consistent like she has, nor have they given us such a variety of looks.

At the “Of Gods And Men” premiere this evening during the festival she opted for an Armani Privé Fall 2008 strapless gown.

I believe that this gown hasn’t been worn until this point, because people have been scared off by the unusually train which is pinned to the gown at the back of the knee.

On most this would make the wearer look like a Ninja Turtle, but on Fan it’s fan-tastic.

From the back you can see exquisite embroidered embellishments on the train of her gown.

Her hair, make-up, jewels and black clutch all help perfect this look.

American model/actress Elettra Rossellini Weidemann looked stunning as she arrived for the 2010 American Ballet Theatre Annual Spring Gala in New York last night.

I’m a huge fan of Toni Maticevski, so I was delighted to see her look so ethereal wearing a dress from his Fall 2010 collection.

I was really disappointed by how Abbie Cornish styled her Fall 2010 look recently, but this restores my faith that the collection is wearable off the runway.

The face of Lancôme rightly kept her make-up and accessories simple as the stunning detail on the bodice should be the focus of this look, but I just wish she’d done something different with her hair.

Leighton Meester embraced the summer by wearing a spring time look for her appearance on the “The Rachael Ray Show” on Monday.

She was there to talk about being a global ambassador for Herbal Essences shampoo, her singing career and her big screen roles including the upcoming country music drama “Love Don’t Let Me Down” with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim Mcgraw.

She also talked about completing a movie called “The Oranges” with Hugh Laurie.

When Rachael asks how she was juggling these projects Leighton joked: “I’m not bored!”

I’m really excited about US stars falling in love with Erdem.

We’ve recently seen Lea Michele, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Biel all wear Erdem Moralioglu’s ultra feminine designs.

Now we can add Leighton Meester to that list.

She opted for a pretty floral Erdem top from the Spring 2010 collection.

As we can’t see the bottom half of the look, I will assume she wore her top with the Erdem silk floral-print shorts paired with top on the runway.

Great look for Leighton, but she needs to back to being a brunette immediately, I’m not feeling this in between colour. (I know she’s naturally a blonde)
