Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: May 2010

Salma Hayek was the first to wear a Gucci Première gown from the very first couture collection designed by Frida Giannini.

It was like Fashion Week at Cannes Film Festival with many other many other actresses like Naomi Watts, Kate Beckinsale, Lea Seydoux and Camilla Belle wearing looks from the collection.

Salma made a touching gesture by donating the Bordeaux one of a kind gown to the “Penelope Cruz/Chopard Auction in support of J/P HRO” (Haitian Relief Organization).

The gown was auctioned off together with a box containing the original dress sketch made for Ms. Hayek and signed by Frida Giannini.

It was auctioned for €17,000.

Actress and L’Oreal Spokesmodel Elizabeth Banks made her first appearance on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival tonight for the “Poetry” Premiere.

This is my favourite dress from Georges Chakra Spring 2010 Couture collection, so I’m super excited to see it on the red carpet.

I’m so glad Elizabeth did justice to this look. She looks absolutely breath-taking.

Her orange-pink-mauve draped organza one-shoulder dress comes with a long flowing train which must have billowed like a fluffy cloud as she walked the red carpet.

I love how her hair is quite loose as it plays off the romanticism of the dress.

That frothy shoulder details has me going weak at the knees.

A Chopard jewels, a Ferragamo gold clutch and nude satin peep toes complete the look.

I was hoping to find some candidates for BDOTY. I think I just found one.

Yes I love it that much.

Emmy Rossum mixed a bit of Spring and a touch of Fall on the red carpet at the “InStyle And ICM Celebrate The New York Upfronts” event last night.

I love how bold she was to mix looks from different seasons which we don’t often see that on the red carpet.

Her look which consisted of a crisp white Donna Karan Spring 2010 top, with the mustard Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2010 ruched skirt is divine.

As Emmy’s a fan of Donna Karan, she was able to know which pieces would work well together.

I wonder if the twisted detail on her left shoulder was deliberate, because if it was it’s an interesting touch.

I’m not so crazy about her hair in this picture, but I love everything else.

It’s taken me a while to post the rest of the looks from the World Music Awards, because I was totally uninspired by them.

Surprisingly it was the Hilton sisters who looked the best at this event, but they also attended the de Grisogono Party which may explain why they’re more dressed up than the rest.

Rachel Hunter is quite literally stuck in a time warp. I guessing it’s 1980 when ever she looks in the mirror because that hairstyle hasn’t changed in 20 years.

Michelle Rodriguez shows her class – or lack thereof – wearing an asymmetrical dress which is totally see-through.

Hayden Panettiere hosted this event.

She opted for a Emilio Pucci animal print draped mini dress with the same print from the Fall 2010 collection.

Nude Louboutin’s and a gold clutch complete the look.
