Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: May 2010

The “amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2010 Benefit Gala” and the Cannes Film Festival premiere for “Fair Game” staring Naomi Watts started at the same time.

Naomi Watts did eventually attend the Gala dinner at the Hotel du Cap, wearing another Armani Privé Spring 2010 dress.

This time she opted for a black and white moon crescent dress which just as stunning on her as it is on Karlie Kloss who’s probably about a foot taller than Naomi.

Everything is kept clean and simple from her jewels to her bare neckline which I find very chic.

I loved her red carpet dress, but I love this dress even more.

Fan Bingbing shut down Cannes Film Festival in spectacular fashion tonight at the Palme d’Or Award Closing Ceremony.

She wowed for the last time wearing a stunning Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture gown.

Her pale blue one-shoulder gown – which has been slightly modified from the runway – has a beautiful leaf print through-out.

I’m glad I got to see one more ball gown at the closing ceremony. I just wish we’d seen more Elie Saab during Cannes.

The Chinese actress completed her look with a white clutch and silver jewels.

As much as I loved the dress, I wasn’t to crazy about the Princess Leia hairstyle.

Diane Kruger tends to wear a lot of white on the red carpet, but she opted for a bright pop of colour for the Palme d’Or Award Closing Ceremony during Cannes Film Festival.

Her black and fuschia Jason Wu dress is pretty, but it wasn’t my favourite on this red carpet.

Her tulle and lace bodice sparkled with a few diamante embellishments, whilst her chiffon fuschia skirt provided a touch of drama.

I think the overall look would’ve been improved by 100% had she opted to wear her hair up.

A star necklace and a blue Roger Vivier clutch complete the look.

I must say I was surprised that Kate Beckinsale didn’t go out with a big bang on the red carpet at the Palme d’Or Award Closing Ceremony during Cannes Film Festival.

I expected a big gown with loads of tulle and or a long train, but instead she gave us a beautifully romantic Nina Ricci gown Fall 2010 gown.

There was no updo for her last appearance either. She wore her hair down with soft waves cascading down her back.

Whilst she dazzled with the most spectacular earrings and bracelet I’ve seen over the two weeks, her subtle black tiered gown with sexy sheer and lace panels was simply accented with a black bow.

I think she’s done herself proud, as she’s been flawless though-out the Film Festival.
