At the Costume Institute Gala history was made as Rosario Dawson finally wore a bold colour.

This is big for a woman who usually always wears black or navy.

Her lilac strapless Giambattista Valli gown is stunning.

I just love that ruffle skirt.

I’m very surprised about the fact that she’s not wearing much make-up, but it works with her light coloured gown.

The bustier gown has a black ribbon and diamond detail on the bodice which stops this look from being just a big fluffy gown.
