Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: April 2010

Despite one reader getting rather miffed at another reader who said Victoria Beckham is well on her way to becoming “Designer Of The Year”, I have to agree that she is.

This is Gwyneth’s second Victoria Beckham Fall 2010 dress within a week, and the 5th time we’ve seen a Victoria Beckham dress on the red carpet this month.

You just can’t argue with those figures.

Unfortunately Gwyneth didn’t quite blow me away on this occasion.

Her gold metallic Victoria Beckham mini dress with a black panel on the back unfortunately didn’t translate too well.

Maybe Gwynie needed to go up a size or maybe she just needed to twist the dress into place, but the fold which makes the dress on the runway is totally lost on the actress.

I find this so disappointing. Hopefully someone else will wear this dress and give it the proper red carpet outing it deserves.

Gwynie paired her dress with black strappy Emilio Pucci sandals and a black Christian Louboutin Pharaon clutch.

This could’ve been great.

On her way to this event Gwyneth wore a black Rick Owens biker jacket.

Happy Birthday to Jessica Alba who celebrated her birthday in New York yesterday, one day before mine.

The 29 year old actress dined out at the Vinegar Hill House restaurant in Brooklyn with her husband Cash Warren, before heading to an after party at the SL (Simyone Lounge).

She went from a boho look at the “The Killer Inside Me” New York premiere to an edgier look wearing a Jonathan Saunders Fall 2009 dress.

Her mini colour-block party dress had a gold and blue top half, with a green skirt.

The look was paired with a black leather biker jacket, black Kris Van Assche ankle boots and a black clutch.

She wore her look without the sparkly black turtleneck.

I would’ve loved to have seen this look without the biker jacket, but she looks fab anyway.

Demi Moore was first to wear this black Zac Posen Spring 2010 dress, when she arrived to the “Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards” back in September last year.

The actress teamed the draping LBD with matching black peep-toes, elegant silver bracelets and a black satin clutch.

Kate Beckinsale sported the very same dress to the “Hot List” party at Haze Nightclub in Las Vegas this month.

The Brit actress teamed her halterneck with a chunky gold statement ring, a black clutch and two-tone Christian Louboutin Luly heels.

Kate wins easily for me.

I love her bouncy curls and those Luly leather sandals make the difference by breaking up the black.
