Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I haven’t been crazy about the last few L’Wren Scott looks on worn by Nicole Kidman, Jessica Simpson and Selma Blair, but Heather Graham reminds me why I first fell in love with L’Wren Scott’s designs.

“The Hangover” actress was a total knock-out wearing an ivory L’Wren Scott Spring 2010 jacquard dress with a raspberry coloured floral detail on the bodice.

Heather’s womanly figure is being fully appreciated by this dress as it hugs her every curve.

I also love the velvet raspberry L’Wren Scott heels in preference to the white runway heels.

Softly tousled hair and a sparkling silver Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch complete this look.

The rosette on the back adds a sexy touch to the look.

Actress Gong Li was on hand to cut the ribbon for the opening of Louis Vuitton’s Huaihai Global Store in downtown Shanghai yesterday looking beautiful wearing all black.

Last night she was also at the unveiling of LV’s Pudong Global Store at the Shanghai IFC Mall.

It’s the first time the French luxury house opened two stores in the same city on the same day.

Gong Li is a goddess, and she’s very much the first Lady of Louis Vuitton which is why invited to be part of these store openings.

She’s always front row or attending a chic LV party.

The Asian actress is the first to wear a look from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 collection.

I love her vintage velvet floral dress which has an dirndl-esque petticoat skirt.

I would’ve liked to have seen this dress without the necklace, but it’s still a fabulous look.

I hope we’ll see more of these dresses on the red carpet.

Unfortunately this was the best picture I could find.

Kate Hudson is currently filming “Something Borrowed”, a story about a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiancé.

The romantic dramedy co-stars Ginnifer Goodwin and John Krasinski.

Kate was spotted on set at the Spring Lounge in SoHo, New York last night prepping for her next scene wearing Dolce & Gabbana.

That Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 floral print made famous by Tina Fey and Sheryl Crow was worn with a trademark Dolce & Gabbana black bustier and a black cropped cardigan.

“Something Borrowed” is due out in 2011.

This look will be so out of season by then darrrrling ;)

Does anyone else have the urge to say, “Stop. Hammer time?”

Nicole Richie wore this ivory satin Christian Dior Fall 2009 jumpsuit with spaghetti straps to “Africa Outreach Project Dinner” this week.

Although I’m not crazy about this look, I don’t hate it either.

I think I would’ve liked this look more if Nicole had worn this look with a bejeweled belt, or a large statement necklace.

The look feels a tad bare despite the gold clutch.

Thoughts?

Alicja Bachleda is probably known as Colin Farrell’s baby mother, but she’s an actress and a singer in her own right.

Last night she looked breath-taking as she walked the red carpet at Tribeca Film Festival for screening of “Ondine”.

Haider Ackermann always blows me away on the red carpet.

We don’t see his work that often, but it’s always a pleasurable experience because of the fine details and the way his pieces elegantly wrap around a the woman’s body.

Alicja striped down this look, by wearing just the Haider Ackermann Spring 2010 lilac wrap pocketed suede vest, with the lilac Haider Ackermann skirt.

The result is spectacular.

Not many of us are fond of mullet skirts or dresses, but I think she pulls this look off effortlessly.

The pink top under her vest is the only thing to slightly bother me, but I love her hair pulled back with this look.
