Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: April 2010

Olivia Palermo stood out on the red carpet at the DKMS’ 4th Annual Gala in New York last night.

She opted for an asymmetrical Prabal Gurung Spring 2010 white dress with an interesting ostrich feathered skirt which was accented with a black bow.

The backless dress is stunning, but I feel that Olivia’s yellow clutch is competing with it.

Not only is the clutch bright yellow, but it also has a gold embellished detail which I really don’t like.

On this occasion the stand out piece should’ve just been the dress because it’s so beautiful.

Gwyneth Paltrow was back to her best last night at the Chopard Gala in New York City.

The star has seeing plenty of the red carpet lately, but this has to be my favourite look.

She would’ve turned heads wearing an Antonio Berardi Fall 2010 gown.

The stunning nude gown has a black lace overlay and a velvet waistband.

Gwyn’s gown has a cowl back which drapes into her train.

Is it wrong that I love this look more from the back?

Glittering with Chopard jewels the star completed her look with her Christian Louboutin Pharaon clutch which she’s carried on 2 other occasions this week.

The stunning Eva Mendes walked the red carpet at the DKMS’ 4th Annual Gala in New York last night.

The first thing that occurred to me was how much better she looks in this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2010 gown than the model.

Her womanly figure does this champagne satin cold-shoulder gown justice.

Her grey Ferragamo silk clutch and jewels complement the embroidered details on her dress perfectly.

I can not find one single fault.

She smolders from head-to-toe.

Natalie Portman also wore Lanvin last night, but she attended the 2010 New York City Ballet Spring Gala.

On this occasion I like Natalie’s look, mostly because she added that jeweled belt to give the look some definition and some shape.

Without this belt the dress may have overwhelmed Natalie’s petite frame.

The strappy sandals are perfect, but the black clutch kinda leaves me cold.

It stands out too much, and not in a good way.

I wish she’d chosen something that would’ve complemented her look.
