Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: April 2010

Amanda Seyfried sure does like to keep things interesting on the red carpet.

Last night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere for “Letters to Juliet” in New York, the star shunned wearing a gown in favour of a Viktor & Rolf black short suit ensemble.

Her black satin shorts were paired with blazer which had bedazzling crystal embellished lapels.

It’s a simple look, but has a knock-out effect due to the embellishments and her fierce pose.

Roger Vivier Epine platform pumps completed the look.

It’s rare to see one celebrity on the cover of Vogue Paris, but Carine has placed several on the covers of the May 2010 issue.

In total their are 3 covers featuring Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Bono and Penelope Cruz who is the guest editor.

Those featured either wear an Armani for Project (RED) tees or Gap Product (RED) tees as the issue celebrates the amazing work that (RED) is doing in Africa.

As much as I admire the sentiment, I don’t like any of the covers.

The whole thing feels very unnatural especially the Penelope and Meryl cover.

I’m not liking the wind swept hair, nor the over photoshopping of Kate Winslet who is barely recognisable.

What do you think?

Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning at the “Iron Man 2″ LA photocall on Friday afternoon in LA.

The actress wore a grey Victoria Beckham Spring 2010 dress with a slightly padded shoulders.

The dress showed off Gwynie’s amazing figure as it hugged her in all the right places.

VBs dresses always look like they were custom-made for each wearer.

I like how Paltrow didn’t over accessorize.

She just added Georgina Goodman Leon Love sandals.

The nude sandals with the word ‘Love’ on the side in black, add a touch of pizazz to this look.

Jennifer Lopez wore the pink version of this dress back in September, but I think the materials are different as Gwynie’s dress appears to have a glossier finish.

The press seem to be enjoying the fact that Scarlett and Gwynie’s dresses were very similar in colour.

Last week we should’ve seen the first premiere of “Iron Man 2″ in London, but it was canceled due to the ash clouds.

Instead the stars of the movie gathered for a photocall at the Four Seasons hotel in LA on Friday afternoon.

Scarlett Johansson – who wasn’t in the first movie – looked beautiful wearing a dove grey RM by Roland Mouret Artemis dress.

The short sleeved dress has all of Mouret trademarks – a strong silhouette, panelled high waist and a zipper that runs down the back of the dress.

I love the dress, but I wish ScarJo’s Christian Louboutin heels had been a bit more exciting.

Her make-up is flawless and I’m loving the big bouncy wavys.
