Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: April 2010

Zoe Saldana wore this Helmut Lang Resort 2010 powder print dress in October of last year to the “Audi Diesel Dinner” in LA.

She opted for leggings and grey heels with her dress.

Sophia Bush also wore this dress with tights and ankle boots to the “Private Lives Of Pippa Lee” New York screening.

I really love Sophia’s longer sleeves. I also surprisingly don’t mind the tights (shock horror) because I’m totally focused on the dress as everything else fades into the background.

I’m gonna surprise you all by giving the tight wearing Sophia the win.

This dress is available to buy from Net-A-Porter.com, Saks.com and Shopbop.com.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted dining at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris wearing a thigh-skimming Andrew GN Fall 2010 top with leather detail epaulettes and a mini skirt plus thigh-high Emilio Pucci suede boots.

She finished off the look with a Jimmy Choo Tatum fringe shoulder bag, Tom Ford shades and hoop earrings.

This look is very Jennifer Lopez, she’s sassy enough make this work.

Not many who haven’t got supermodel giraffe legs can pull off wearing thigh-high boots.

I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of Jennifer whilst she’s in Europe, so this site might become the ‘Jennifer Lopez Fashion blog’ for a few days.

Christy Turlington looked very colourful on the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Nice Guy Johnny” in New York this weekend.

At first I thought her dress was from the Dries Van Noten Spring 2010 collection, but it’s actually from the Zero + Maria Cornejo Fall 2010 collection.

It was the print that made me think Dries, but on second look this print has more of an autumn feel than an ethnic feel.

The supermodel paired her two-tone dress with black lace-up booties and a black gold chain bag.

Li Bingbing & Fan Bingbing both attended the Shanghai Bazaar Charity Gala 2010 in China last night.

The Asian actresses presented together at this event wearing the same designer.

Li wore a navy off-the-shoulder Tadashi Shoji Fall 2010 gown with a lace overlay and a black belt, whilst Fan wore a liquid silver draped off-the shoulder Tadashi Shoji Fall 2010 gown.

Both look stunning as they kept their jewelery subtle, but Li was my favourite.

Her dress fits her like a glove.

Last week we saw Jennifer Lopez change up to 3 times a day during her promotional tour for “The Back-Up Plan” in the US.

This week she’s touring Europe.

With the news that her movie has been panned by the critics, Jennifer still looked in good spirits at the photocall in Paris which was held on the balcony of the Hotel Crillon.

Jennifer opted for a Paule Ka white ensemble consisting of a fitted cropped jacket with a wide belt and full skirt.

Let’s start with the something positive.  It’s a nice sunny day in Paris.

Now before I get to those heels, I want to say that the cropped jacket doesn’t work for me.

Had it been open it may have felt less restricted and therefore maybe more appealing.

The voluminous skirt is cute, but it fails to flatter Jennifer.

Now those heels.  Just when I thought we’d finally seen the last of those 2007 YSL Tribute platforms, they are back to haunt the red carpet once again.

The problem isn’t just because they are the Tribute heels, the problem is mostly because they are black and that they are killing anything good about this look.

Black pumps, with a white ensemble on a warm sunny day in Paris?  Really?

Oh Jenny.  You’ve gone from a 10 from last week to a 4.

Let’s hope you redeem yourself at the premiere.

After this photocall Jennifer when shopping for her two-year-old twins at Jacadi a famous Parisian clothes shop for babies and children.

It was a so-so weekend for most on the red carpet, but Halle Berry looked sensational at the “Shanghai Bazaar Charity Gala 2010″ held in China last night.

The actress wore a breath-taking one-shoulder black organza Vera Wang custom-made gown with a nude underlay.

The gown is lightly embellished on the bodice with ruffled detail on the shoulder.

As usual the star doesn’t need many accessories to shine, just simple subtle jewels and flawless nude make-up.

This is what you call a super star.

I’m so happy to see Halle back on the red carpet.
