Salma Hayek attended “A Bid To Save The Earth Green Auction” in New York last night with her husband.

Her ‘sole’ purpose was to grab attention with her Latin American-inspired Balenciaga platform open-toe mid-calf boots, which stood out by a mile amongst the other heels worn on this red carpet.

The actress kept the rest of her outfit simple with a plain black t-shirt, a textured tulip shaped skirt and a matching black clutch.

I really wish she would leave these types of pieces to people like Charlotte Gainsbourg who can pull off wearing this brand.

On Charlotte it feels a lot less contrived because she appreciates the brand rather than just wearing it because she has the keys to the closet.
