Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: March 2010

Ginnifer Goodwin attended the 24th Genesis Awards this weekend looking stunning in red Valentino.

Her lace Valentino Pre-Fall 2010 mini dress gathers on the hip, has an open back and a chiffon ruffled neckline.

The dress appears slightly shorter on Ginnifer, but I think this is the perfect length for her.

She paired her look with taupe pumps and a red clutch.

Yet another BDOTW contender.

At the Chanel And Charles Finch Host A Pre-Oscar Dinner a few weeks ago, Ginnifer opted for a Chanel Spring 2010 dress with a draped skirt.

On Ginnifer we finally get to see the bodice of this look which has a scalloped edge detail and a mesh overaly.

On this occasion the skirt appears to be longer, but it could just be that the model has endlessly long legs.

She paired her look with Stella McCartney heels.

Ginnifer also opted for a black look at the “Diamond Information Center Luncheon” a few weeks ago.

The actress wore a black satin Moschino cropped jumpsuit with a ruffled neckline yet again.

Ginnifer paired her black jumper with a cream faux ostrich Tunney ‘Polly’ clutch and Aldo black peep-toes.

All caught up on GG.

After the Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture show back in January I made my way to the Atelier Versace Spring 2010 presentation which was held at a hotel in Paris.

Upon arrival I was informed that the viewing was confidential, so I wasn’t able to share it with you.

On Friday the collection was uploaded onto Versace.com, so finally this amazing collection can be seen.

At the presentation the dresses were on mannequin’s, so the beautiful Kasia Struss helps bring these looks to life for me.

On my Facebook page I asked you to start picking your red carpet favourites, and I wasn’t surprised that you picked Beyoncé, Shakira, Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway, Zoe Saldana, Kate Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bündchen, Rihanna and Britney Spears (if she ever gets her mojo back).

All very worthy candidates.

I have so many favourites their is no point listing them, but the most interesting was the black dress above.

I can’t wait to see this particular gown on the red carpet because it absorbs light, so on a sunny day in Cannes or when the spotlights are directed on this dress at the Met Gala, the skirt will reflect different colours.

All the looks are accented with either Swarovski crystals, hologram discs or zippers.

What floored me about this collection is that is so very Gianni. His spirit and influence was evident in every piece.

It’s has that sexy, edgy sophistication that made me fall in love with fashion back in the 80s.

The countdown begins to the first star to wear it on the red carpet. I already can’t wait.

Last year we lusted over Sarah Jessica Parker’s lilac Brian Atwood Loca pumps which she wore on the set of Sex And The City 2.

The heels are now available in that very same colour on Net-A-Porter.com as they were just uploaded today.

Emilie de Ravin wore these same heels in black for the “Remember Me” UK premiere.

“The Laurence Olivier Awards” are the UK version of the “Tony Awards”.

Keira Knightley was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her West End debut performance in “The Misanthrope”, but lost out to Ruth Wilson for “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

She may have lost that award, but she won Best Dressed at this event wearing a stunning Erdem Fall 2010 gown.

The print is amazing. I actually mistook it for a Marios Schwab at first.

With the digital print dazzling us, Keira rightly kept everything else very simple.

If you look at the close ups below you can see that Keira’s dress is accented with small sequin floral details.

First BDOTW contender?
