Victoria Beckham At London Heathrow Airport

Dear Victoria Beckham,

Yesterday I said that Cheryl Cole was the perfect substitute to your street style.

After seeing how fabulous you looked a London’s Heathrow airport yesterday I feel I should take that statement back and put it in the bin were it belongs.

Many (including me) have complained that you don’t vary your style often enough, but this easy breezy laid back look was as refreshing as lemonade on a hot summers day.

I’m struggling to remember the last time I saw you in pants, but I will be going to Zara this lunchtime to find a pair just like your Roberto Cavalli pants

Stella McCartney maybe mad that you are sporting her casual chic style, but I’m happy that you’re not pictured wearing yet another LBD.

Yours Fashion Critic xxx

PS. Thanks for also recognising that shoes other than YSL Trib Two’s do exist. Your Brian Atwood Maniac pumps are fab.

haha love the post FC, made me laugh- do Zara have similiar trousers to these? I want!! – casual chic to perfection in my eyes :-)

        • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 13:44 #

I think I’ve seen something similar in Zara recently.

        • Sara March 24, 2010 at 21:37 #

I work in Zara and can confirm that we have similar trousers. White, khaki and one more colour. Can’t remember which.

          • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 21:52 #

            I got a pair today :)

  5. Shemah March 24, 2010 at 12:47 #

  6. Fit for Fashion March 24, 2010 at 12:52 #

    Sometimes less is more

  8. f4fashion March 24, 2010 at 13:10 #

FINALLY ! she is wearing something laid back and confy. I think this outfit make her look 10 years younger! By the way, you will look great in similar pants FC

    • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 13:43 #

      I’m on it ;)

    • whitestroke March 27, 2010 at 23:57 #

She looks 10 years younger anyway, whatever she wears. She’s got such a cute face. :)

  9. Cleopatra March 24, 2010 at 13:14 #

Ha ha very witty FC! I like her ensemble but have issues with the shoes, they are totally wrong for this look, gorgeous high tan gladiators or something with more bulk would have looked just perfect.

  10. mochababe73 March 24, 2010 at 13:30 #

I like the casual look, but she’s stilled pulled together. I am not one to like the sharp shoulders look but this one is softer than the normal blazers that I see.

  11. Lala/S-R March 24, 2010 at 13:53 #

    Easy does it.
    I love this woman!

  12. Melissa March 24, 2010 at 13:55 #

My thoughts exactly! Totally different from her and she looks incredible.

  13. anne March 24, 2010 at 14:19 #

She does look great but i believe cheryl is more consistent. Unfortunately it won’t be long until victoria goes back to black

    • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 14:58 #

      Unfortunately you are right

  14. julie March 24, 2010 at 14:25 #

Hahahaaha!!I love the letter!I had a cream version of those trousers last summer (Mango). She look so much younger with this kind of outfit. I really like this version of Victoria :-))

  15. mol March 24, 2010 at 14:33 #

    Cool look, love the letter!

  16. Lala Vasquin March 24, 2010 at 14:42 #

FC i love u. u r so funny yet witty. Gotta love the love letter. ok so did u find pants like that at ZARA please share. very important info u know.

    • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 14:57 #

      Only similar colourwise.

  17. pipsqueak March 24, 2010 at 14:43 #

Love this look – very Dries Van Noten Fall 2010, particularly the pants. The top is definitely Stella McCartney’s casual chic. Finally, Victoria looks like a modern career women. Before, she looked mostly like an expensive housewife from The Hamptons.

    • JoltOfDavid March 24, 2010 at 15:31 #

Absolutely. I think the look was inspired by his Fall collection. I am also getting a Marant vibe.

      • LeeAnn March 24, 2010 at 15:56 #

Sorry to sound Snarky I don’t mean to but other than the colour of the grey T shirt this is Nothing like Dries Autumn RTW 2010. The blazer , porportion and texture is completely wrong -Marant maybe/ Stella perhaps but Dries NO!!!!!!

        • JoltOfDavid March 24, 2010 at 16:14 #

You should take a more careful look. The combination of a more formal blazer with pants that are vaguely military is SO what Dries has done for Fall. Obviously, details like pockets are not the same, but the vibe is clearly there.

  18. Mallory March 24, 2010 at 14:55 #

Is it my imagination or are those fab goodies actually subtle harem pants?

  19. Mario March 24, 2010 at 15:14 #

There’s simply no one better than Victoria. She comes from this thought that a woman must look beautiful and perfectly dressed anywhere she goes. And that is what style is all about. Like Galliano said, style is wearing an evening gown to McDonalds or heels to play football. It is the main key for a woman to feel wanted and appreciated. And I think everyone should respect that.

  20. Scott March 24, 2010 at 15:49 #

Love everything about this look and I want those pants NOW!

  21. mm March 24, 2010 at 15:58 #

Loving this look, she looks laid back and relaxed, gangsta

  22. LeeAnn March 24, 2010 at 16:20 #

If by take a closer look you mean spend a day in Paris looking at the collection -and then ordering 15 looks -I have. I stand by my comments.

  23. Matt March 24, 2010 at 16:22 #

I was laughing at this open letter, it’s hilarious. She does look amazing, while I love this look, it’s not enough for me just yet.

  24. a March 24, 2010 at 16:55 #

    love this post :)

    • a March 24, 2010 at 20:01 #

  25. VBlover March 24, 2010 at 17:57 #

love your letter and love this look on VB! Wishing I lived in the UK so I could go to Zara and get those pants too!

    • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 18:24 #

I only found similar one’s not the exact one :)

      • ahot March 24, 2010 at 21:49 #

yes, we can only dream to see Victoria wear something from Zara & Coµ. :)
Lol so hard reading this post! hope she is one of your followers too…

  26. Sabina March 24, 2010 at 21:20 #

She looks great! It’s so refreshing to see her opting for a laid back style, and I can’t find these stunning Brian Atwood pumps anywhere, I’m in love with them.
Btw, she arrived in Moscow yesterday sporting this look, so that’s where she was heading to from Heathrow. And today I saw her on the Red Square, the was wearing a pair of beige pants (maybe from her collection), her Chanel jacket, and Louboutin ankle boots.. she’s even thinner in reality.. but so stunning, a real star! :)

  27. pascha March 24, 2010 at 23:18 #

Too bad there isn’t a BDOTW4SS (Best Dressed of the Week for Street Style).

Hehe then again maybe it’s fair there isn’t one b/c VB would pretty much win every week!

    • Fashion Critic March 24, 2010 at 23:24 #

LOL…that’s the very reason I never considered it :) She would win all the time and she really has not real competition

  28. seggie March 24, 2010 at 23:24 #

WOW!!! Now that’s what I call style!
She looks amazing, casual but sooooo stylish
As somebody said she does look 10 years younger.
FC, love your letter, do you think there is a chance she will read it? ;-)
Cheryl looked good yestersday but too girly in comparison to Queen Victoria

    • Fashion Critic March 25, 2010 at 07:43 #

      I hope so ;)

  29. Lilflowa March 25, 2010 at 01:06 #

hahah FC thank goodness you binned your previous statement about Cheryl.

Victoria will always be the Head Chic in Charge. She has no competion in my biased eyes lol!

Anyway LOVING this look so refreshing indeed!

P.S let me know if you did find a pair in Zara so i could also pick up a pair! :p

    • Fashion Critic March 25, 2010 at 07:43 #

I did. They were similar in colour and style, but they have a button instead of the wrap detail hers have.

      They were £39.99

  30. meg March 25, 2010 at 02:57 #

this is one of your cutest posts FC :)

    And those pants are awesome
Thanks for the info on similar ones at Zara!!

    • Fashion Critic March 25, 2010 at 07:40 #

      Thanks and you’re welcome :D

  31. Elisa March 25, 2010 at 11:34 #

Never EVER have doubt on Mrs. VB.
    She is just marvellous. Always.

  32. whitestroke March 28, 2010 at 00:01 #
