“The Laurence Olivier Awards” are the UK version of the “Tony Awards”.
Keira Knightley was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her West End debut performance in “The Misanthrope”, but lost out to Ruth Wilson for “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
She may have lost that award, but she won Best Dressed at this event wearing a stunning Erdem Fall 2010 gown.
The print is amazing. I actually mistook it for a Marios Schwab at first.
With the digital print dazzling us, Keira rightly kept everything else very simple.
If you look at the close ups below you can see that Keira’s dress is accented with small sequin floral details.
First BDOTW contender?

Yeah-yeah! Of course, BDOTW!!!
i really love this dress on her.
has anyone an idea who made her shoes?
ah and just if you are interested her ring is Chanel.no idea about her bracelet though
Yes yes! She’s perfect as usual (L)
I surprised myself by liking this dress and her in it.
Ooohh… I wish my Red Carpet Wish had been published before, cause now it makes no sense… (it was another Erdeem piece for Keira from that same collection)
She looks lovelly, as always. For the moment, she could well be a BDOTW contender, though that hair could make her be off the list br Friday…
Sorry. I just looked and that one is scheduled to post on 27 March, as I do them in the order they come in.
Sorry.
Do you still want me to keep it or bin it?
That’s OK… fashion is so alive!!
About the Wish, I don’t know… actually don’t bin it, just incase she makes the honour of granting it!!
cool xxx
love love love!
for me she’s bdotw, she’s looking great!
She’s just so cute when she smiles! The 4th picture is just pure magic!
I do hate the hair though.
BDOTW contender without any doubt. I’m not crazy about the dress on the runaway, but Keira… Well, SHE can!
I really like Erdem. He’s one of the younger, emerging British designers with a strong signature. He’s not as well-known in the States (perhaps he doesn’t try too hard to court the B-listers and socialites), but I hope he’ll find a following among talented starlets like Keira Knightley and be more successful globally.
I’ve been hoping the same for a while.
Ashley Olsen wore one of his looks during awards season so I hope that will be the start.
One of the dresses from Erdem’s Spring 2010 runway – the first dress with floral applique – was featured in the February issue of InStyle (US). It was a relatively small picture, but next to one of Dior’s dress. I hope it’s a start for more editorial coverage to come.
Let’s hope it’s a start to more coverage in the US
LOVE this. The dress has a very conservative shape, but the print and the colors make it youthful and funky. I lover her hair, make up and jewelry.
She is adorable!!
I love everything about this outfit!
Definitely a BDOTW contender.
This dress really suits her. I wish she would hit the redcarpet more b/c she rarely looks bad.
Love this – she has the perfect figure to wear this high necked dress, LOVE the digital prints that are showing up now, so much more interesting than all the plain colours. The detailing is so pretty and the close-up picture shows the dress and Keira off beautifully. Definitely BD list.
This is weird. I love Erdem and I’m a fan of Keira and her choices on the red carpet, so it should be a win win situation. But I just can’t make myself to like this look. I don’t hate it either. I’m just vetry meh about it, like something is missing, but I don’t know what. Urgh.
Just learned that Erdem is the winner of the British Fashion Fund: http://www.vogue.com/voguedaily/2010/03/and-the-winner-of-the-first-british-fashion-fund-iserdem-moralioglu/. Totally awesome! His S/S 2010 pieces are both featured in Harper’s Bazaar and Elle – April in the U.S. Double hooray!
