I do get sad when I miss the few looks, but it’s hard to keep up with the picture agencies who are uploading about 1000 pictures per minute on Oscar night. It’s not because I hate the celebrities like some people strangely accused me of.
Here’s a look at a few I missed the first time around.
I bow down to Queen Latfiah in her stunning pink satin figure-hugging custom-made Badgley Mischka gown.
The one shoulder gown featured a jewel-encrusted band and shoulder strap, which was very flattering. Queen accessorized the look with Chopard jewels.
My other -red carpet- Queen is Georgina Chapman who dazzled me in a a black self designed dress paired with Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly black bow detailed sandals.
I love that Georgina continues to design pieces especially for herself.

Zoe Kravitz looked stunning wearing a Alexis Mabille two-tone strapless gown which was especially designed for her.
She paired her one-of-a-kind gown with Fred Leighton jewels.
At first I thought Miley Cyrus was wearing Christian Dior, but she’s wearing Jenny Packham custom gown.

Anika Noni Rose wore a stunning gown which has a jewel-bodice which lit up the red carpet.
Paula Patton’s maternity style hasn’t really work for me. This Carolina Herrera orange gown fails to bring any excitement to the red carpet.

Helen Mirren sparkled in a Badgley Mischka gown which was covered with silver sequins.
The actress paired her gown with a Chopard necklace.
I normally wouldn’t look twice at a black gown on the red carpet at the Oscars, but Mariska Hargitay looks divine here in Vera Wang.

Elisabetta Canalis and Faith Hill both walked the red carpet with their plus one’s wearing Roberto Cavalli.
Elisabetta wore a custom made red strapless silk satin Roberto Cavalli gown, whilst carrying a Ferragamo clutch.
Faith opted for a Roberto Cavalli black strapless gown with chiffon and lace inserts.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Julianne didn’t walk the red carpet, but they were both spotted backstage.
Michelle opted for a Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2010 gown, whilst Julianne was glowing wearing a custom Calvin Klein gown with Bulgari jewels.

georgina and miley look great!
hmmm, I like Miley’s gown, much improved from last year, but I just wish she wouldn’t slouch
Queen Latifah was definitely one of my favs at the Oscars and I was hoping you’d post her look! THIS is how you dress curves! She looks amazing!
Michelle Pfeiffer OMG! She hasn’t aged a bit and looks incredible!
Thanks for adding these!
Did you see the dress that Sam Worthington’s girlfriend Natalie Mark wore? She was wearing a gorgeous dress by our Melbourne boys J’Aton, the ones who were dressing Dannii Minogue on the X Factor. She looked great!
I loved Miley’s dress, hair and makeup. For me it was the first time in a very long time that she has dressed her age, looked appropriate and absolutely gorgeous.
First, I would like to say thank you, FC, for bringing us these red carpet looks. You’ve done a good job ID-ing celebrities looks and keeping us updated.
Everyone looks gorgeous. Kudos to Queen Latifah. She sure knows how to dress her body as she always looks good on the red carpet.
And I’m a huge fan of Helen Mirren. She always looks divine, always age appropriate. I like that she doesn’t hide her beautiful curves and wears colors that complement her hair color.
you’re welcome Nikki xx
FC – thank you so much for your Oscar coverage!
What you went through to do it sounded absolutely crazy, and I really do appreciate all the effort you put into it.
you’re welcome Naomi
Wow Georgina Chapman! How does she do it everytime!
Out of these last few I am loving Queen Latifah. she looks gorgeous!
Queen Latifah is glowing. I love that she shows how a woman can look beautiful even she hasn’t a perfect body.
no one has a perfect body. but queenie looked great
Long live the Queen and Dame Helen. Latifah and Mirren were my best dressed. Thanks for featuring additional looks…
My favorites of this group are Zoe Kravitz and Queen Latfiah and I am also curiously drawn to Michelle Pfeiffer’s darkly romantic dress – she looks lovely in it.
Everyone looks amazing. Check out Zoe, her dress is so clean, she looks amazing.
Miley looks great as well, I wish she opted for a clearer nail polish though,
Zoe Kravitz and Miley Cyrus look really great here – when I saw Miley on the Oscar websites I thought she’d really outdone herself, she looks really groomed, and very elegant. I also liked Kristen Stewart’s outfit because, on the Oscar websites, there were so many photos of her smiling, and looking really quite happy! Good to see.
queen latifah looks lovely…a real darling
Mariska Hargitay was stunning as always. It is always a class act.
Gosh, I can’t believe people are actually complaining about your coverage, that’s ridiculous! Thanks for posting all the looks, what a well dressed Oscar night!
I know it’s crazy. Couldn’t believe my eyes
let me guess..
1.Those silly persons are just diehard fans of Miley Cyrus or Vanessa Hudgens (well then they have nothing to do here on this website- do they?)
2. They don’t know a thing about blogging, about how much work is inside, that you are not almighty, which means you can actually miss some features (what a crime!)
3. They ain’t followers, because they would have KNOWN that you even feature celebrities you don’t “like”,
4. You don’t gossip- you’re not Perez Hilton and suchlike
It’s all about FASHION, REDCARPET guys if you don’t get it, and FC ain’t a bloody reporter or paparazzi to feature everyone. point.
***Stands up and clapss***
I glad to know that many of my readers to get that this blogging thing ain’t easy.
Mistakes happen, people are missed. I’m only 1 person not a team like JustJared, Perez Hilton and the Sugar network.
I think Elizabetta was the “plus one”, not George Clooney
I’m sorry FC but you forgot Melanie Griffith + Antonio Banderas too. I think she looked good and she’s been away form Red Carpets for soooo loooong. Maybe she deserves a post
Thank u
queen latifah, perfection as always she looks beautiful.
georgina, its nice but its just the same all the time.
zoe, simple dress but absolutely beautiful.
miley, why is she here? why are the tweens taking over the oscars? dress looks rather blah.
anika, its nice but it looks like she hasnt ironed it.
paula, a bit too plain for the oscars but gorgeous colour.
helen, classy, elegant and beautiful as always.
mariska, wow it seems like the carolina herrera fans next step is always vera wang, first renne now mariska. its a nice dress.
elisabetta, wow se is probably the one woman who has been with him the longest. its a bit boring.
faith, hate the hair, hate the dress.
michelle, i have missed seeing her on the red carpet or at award shows. she looks fantastic.
julianne, simple and beautiful.
The dress Mariska Hargitay is not black, is dark blue. This actress is always beautiful on the red carpet. Besides choosing the clothes and Mariska always hits on accessories. She is discreet and knows that elegance in less is more. It was one of the best dressed
For a custom made gown, Miley’s bodice sure didn’t fit well.
Love Queen Latifah’s gown! I had hoped it would be a BDOTW contender.
It doesn’t get said enough… thanks for your hard work.
thank you Moxie x
Are u kidding! Those dresses look 1000x better than those who were nominated! I am in awe of almost any of these gowns especially Georgina’s dress!
Thanks so much for posting these!!!
Queen Latifah looks so amazing!!! Love Georgina, Miley (she actually looks appropriate), Zoe and Mariska!!
Most people have no idea what it is to go through thousands of pictures, pick the best ones, match them up with the runway look AND write something about the look that’s interesting all within hours after the event. It’s a insane task that only the fashion aficionados can endure.
Thank you for all that you do.
Michelle Pfeiffer looks fabulous and the woman doesn’t age. I wonder what happened to Anne Hathaway. No red carpet appearances.
thanks Dolce xxx
wow, it’s such a shame that Georgina isn’t on the poll, because for me she’s the best dressed on Oscar, pretty gorgeous her Marchesa, the Louboutins are to die for, Love hair and make up.
Miley looks the best I ever seen of her. Julianne and her Calvin Klein are a flawless combination
Miley looks great in her gown. Julianne let me down. Her shimmering strapless gown is too dejavu of that stunning Versace gown she wore to the Oscars a few years ago.
I thought Miley’s dress was Dolce & Gabbana. Probably that corset thing going on at the top. lol
Michelle Pfeiffer was my fav out of these. She was so gorgeous and the dress looked amazing on her body. Stills don’t do it justice. (And Helen Mirren, she’s always sensational.) Zoe Kravitz’s dress was a weird choice. It doesn’t go with her personality at all. It’s the kind of gown I could imagine someone like Kate Winslet or Penelope Cruz wearing. I thought she’d be more adventurous than that. Julianne was stunning, but I expected something more interesting than that from her.
Miley’s dress is not custom made…it is from 2010 spring collection
The dress was custom made
