Salma Hayek walked the red carpet at Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party on Sunday paying tribute to Alexander McQueen.
When I saw her in the dress my first reaction was “nice tribute, wrong dress”.
As the wife of PPR (who own the Gucci Group who own McQueen) CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, it was right for Salma to wear a McQueen dress, but she should’ve worn a dress to suit her style.
This reptile print dress is wrong for Salma on so many levels.
I hate the hair and she’s way too top heavy for this dress.

I think she looks great!
She looks cute. I actually think all the dresses from the Spring 2010 collection were bottom heavy and they would be terrible for the ladies like Kim K, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and anybody else with a real butt and hips. But they work on somebody like Salma who has a lot of volume on top to balance it out. I don’t really like the hair, kind of matronly. I think a pompadour ponytail or bun would have worked. Overall though I think she looks good. Every time I see a non-model celebrity in these dresses I think they look like a fairy. Camille Belle is the blue fairy and Salma is the gold fairy.
I love her in this dress!!! Her bust looks more in proportion in this photo, but I’m not sure what she looked like from other angles. Really like look, but unsure about the heels

I saw this dress on E!, and I didn’t like it at all. I hate this particular silhouette. From the waist up it’s pretty.

I think she looks perfect , it’s an “edgy” dress that suits her.The colours also suit her complexion and the Tribute toos also go perfectly with it, the only is i would have preffered her with straight hair rather than curly

McQueen isn’t for her, period. But it was a nice gesture from her to wear it.
I think that she looks great. The dress is a structural piece of art that suits her well. The hair and shoes provide the perfect balance .
