Selma Blair wore a very formal look to the 2010 Vanity Fair Party on Sunday night.
When I saw Selma wearing this ensemble I instantly thought of Nicole Kidman.
This is because I can so picture Nicole wearing this look to a press conference or a daytime event.
It’s definitely not a party look.
The young actress wore a midnight blue riding jacket, paired with a black taffeta ruffle shirt and black beaded high-waisted skirt from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2010 collection.
Apart from this look not being Selma’s style, she looks very restricted and uncomfortable.
This was made for someone of Nicole’s height for sure, because it’s not a bad look. Just bad on Selma.
Selma wore her ensemble with a pair of Christian Louboutin new Helmut black nappa leather pointy-toe pumps.

one of the worst outfits she has wore. she looks quite uncomfortable in it and the jacket looks too fitted for her as if she cant lift her arms up.
it was match to Selma.. but the clutch wasn’t match and the bob hair is not ok ,

But does the height matter that much? Because I think Selma looks slim and have this whole lean figure look here, even if she is not as tall as Nicole. It works for her body.
BUT you are right that it is not event appropriated and she looks really uncomfortable.
Selma looks like she wants to be a usher or hostess at the party.
Or an extra on the Adams Family set! She looks so stiff!!
My son has that same resentful expression when he has to wear his suit!

This dress ages her. The dress is too long. The jacket is too big. To pull this off, she needed a total overhaul. Different hair, make-up, and tweaking on the outfit.
Um I had to do a double-take on this one…I could’ve sworn this was Anna Wintour at first look! LOL
I actually like this dress but it doesn’t compliment her nice body and great legs. I do like Selma with short hair. This candid is obviously not the greatest pose because she is so much cuter when smiling!
That’s just plain ridiculous. Doesn’t translate on her at all.
