Runway To 2010 Oscars – Sarah Jessica Parker In Chanel Couture

Diane. This Is How To Look Good In Chanel Couture At The Oscars Award
I wasn’t expecting to see Sarah Jessica Parker on the red carpet at the 2010 Oscars, but I loved everything about her look.

From her high top bun, to her gorgeous satin yellow Chanel Spring 2010 Couture gown.

She really helped blur by mind from Diane’s Chanel disaster.

SJP was really excited to be on the red carpet – as one should be – as she discussed getting ready for the big night.

I was fascinated at how her the sequined embroidered part of her gown stayed up, as it didn’t appear to be attached to the detail around her neck.

She looks beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised with her choice gown and I actually like it. I usually am not a fan of shapeless dresses. I also love her hair and makeup. Perfect.

She must have used top stick to keep it in place. :)

SJP looks gorgeous. Love the dress so much better of the runway. I think this dress will get mix reviews but I love the entire look.

Huh, I was about to say she looks like she’s wearing a towel. The silhouette is soooo wrong here.

haha, this was on my wishlist for Jennifer aniston. I always thought the embroidered part was connected to the the scarf, I think it looks a little awkward detached.

SJP: gorgeous, stunning, spectacular, fabulous! My best dress of the Oscar without any doubt! I was praying to see this dress and the one is wearing Zoe Saldana as well! xxx

This dress I hated with a passion. I usually love SJP’s clothes but this is just odd in my opinion. It doesn’t flatter her body or anything and it really doesn’t help that she herself looks really orange..

I really didn’t get the colour choice either. If it had been in a different colour I would have liked it.

I love SJP and thought she looked wonderful tonight, but two things bothered me. 1) In a shot of her sitting in the audience, she had the dress pulled up over her knees and her legs crossed. She has great legs so that’s no problem, but was the dress so tight that she couldn’t cross her legs with the dress down? And 2) I know she’s a smoker, so I assume it’s non-smoking gum she’s chewing, but it really doesn’t look good when she looks so elegant.

I didn’t like this dress at first, but it grew on me. Her hair i STILL have an issue with…too big, like she’s in a Texas Beauty Pageant…

Thank you! Now I finally know what I thought was strange about the hair. It kept bothering and bothering me but the you said it. Beauty Pageant all the way.

The dress though still isn’t growing on me… Maybe if it were a different color. Like blue or something..

I thought this was awful! My heart sank when I saw her. The hair is really terrible, and frankly, so is the dress. I always hate it when she puts her hair up like that, I think it looks ridiculous on her.

Gorgeous and definitely fashion forward. The dress is a daring choice and SJP pulls it off flawlessly. She has the body, the confidence and the style to wear this. The dress is an updated version of 60′s chic and thus her hairstyle is a perfect match. Thankfully she kept the makeup modern and didn’t go OTP with jewelry. She was elegant and chic. Loved it~!

That dress looks like an old school nightgown. From the lemon yellow color to the satin it just screams bedclothes. I can’t believe that this dress has the name Chanel on it.

This was my favorite of the evening. Completely different from everything else and she is absolutely glowing. Nice to see her looking so happy.

I thought it was awful. Very unflattering! I was suprised at her whole look, her make up seemed over done and blotchy, or maybe it was a spray tan gone bad? Even her hair didn’t look right, too much product?

Glad she took a risk with the dress, but the hair and makeup were awful.

Someone needs to take that heavy, black eyeliner away from her once and for all!

And by the time she made it to the stage to present, her hair looked liked she’d been riding around in a convertible all night. All that frizz and those fly-aways made her look like she was wearing a fright wig!

I half loved this look. Pretty dress but the cinnabon hair and fake tan make her look a 70′s socialite at a key party. If that’s what she was going for then she suceeded.

The most interesting choice of the night. The back of the dress is particularly interesting. I loved SJP on the red carpet. She looked like she REALLY loved the dress. She said to the reporter she’d have to return it the next day but ‘for tonight it’s all mine.’
