Whilst watching the Jil Sander Fall 2010 presentation I was saying to myself “Tilda Swinton, this collection was made for you”.
The menswear tailoring designed by Raf Simons had androgynous qualities which only Tilda would pull off on the red carpet and have our jaws dropping in admiration.
This collection was all about minimalist chic and simple lines.
For those not into the androgynous look Simons presented classic tweed suits and dresses, but I was particularly taken by the plum sweater and mini skirt combo.
There were a lot of all-in-one jumpsuits and playsuits/rompers presented, which someone like Rihanna would love especially if she paired them with the workman-like mens boots which were presented on the runway.
I love shows when the traditional runway rule book is torn up.
For this presentation the runway was shaped liked a cross, with models walking to all four corners.
At moments it felt like runway was crawling with models who all walked in strict precision as not to bump into each other as their paths crossed.
Who says modeling is easy?
This was the longest finale I’ve seen at over an minute. Well worth it though.

At Zang Toi’s show, a model took a wrong turn off the runway and ended up lost in a closet, so it’s definitely not easy
LOL…I would’ve loved to have seen that
Oh my!! It’s really a miracle there wasn’t a single crash in that criss-cross finale!!
And I actually can’t remember Tilda wearing Jil Sander but this collection is clearly surnamed Swinton!!
She wore a Jil Sander dress to a premiere
