Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: February 2010

Michelle Trachtenberg looked stunning when she walked the red carpet at the “Cop Out” New York premiere on Monday night.

Michelle usually doesn’t excite me as she tends to wear a lot of dark colours, but her Marchesa Resort 2010 sheath dress is exquisite.

I just love that embroidered neckline and the fringed detail on the shoulders.

I’m also loving the hair and the attitude she’s giving with her sultry pose.

But what I LOVE, Love, love most about this look are those green satin Louboutin Pigalle pumps with a satin overlay.

Simple black pumps would have been the easy option, so I’m glad she didn’t take it.

I believe this is BDOTW worthy. Do you?

Kristen Stewart was one of the many celebrities who had a front row seat at the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 presentation in London yesterday.

The Twilight actress wore a look from the amazing Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 collection, which included a grey knit top, paired with a Burberry Prorsum knot skirt.

This could’ve been a great look if it weren’t for that black coat and those black pumps.

It was unlikely she was going to wear strappy sandals and a not wear a coat on a cold rainy afternoon in London, but as usual the styling lets her down.

I think she would’ve looked better and been happier wearing something from the menswear collection.

Girlie girl just ain’t her thing.

Cheryl Cole announced this morning that she will be divorcing her 5x cheating husband Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole

I think he’s been holding her back for far too long and I hope to see her now go on to bigger and better things.

As the news broke about his sleazy affairs she headed out to LA.

Whilst leaving London’s Heathrow airport last week she wore a rather disturbing Beatrice Boyle’s ‘Gaze’ print hooded dress which she paired with leggings and Be&D Garbo lambskin studded grommet satchel.

En route to LA Cheryl changed before exiting LAX into this Missoni Everest knitted track top, which she paired with J Brand Skinny denim jeans and burgundy YSL Trib Two’s.

Speculation has been growing that Cheryl is dating dancer Derek Hough.  That reached fever pitch when she was spotted dining with him at Katsuya in LA wearing a stunning chocolate brown Chapurin Spring 2010 mini dress.

Cheryl seems to love this designers work as she’s worn Chapurin to the 2009 Pride of Britain Awards, and week 9 of the X Factor.

My favourite look was what she wore to a recording session in Santa Monica.

Her fitted McQ Gingham cotton-blend shift dress is gorgeous, as are her Burberry Charm-detailed leather sandals.

Tres chic Chezza.

Now that New York Fashion Week, the BAFTAs and the Elle Style Awards is over, I can catch up on all the other looks I missed last week.

Jennifer Lopez attended the 60th Sanremo Song Festival in San Remo, Italy last week where she performed for a pack audience.

The singer appears to have fallen in love with Balmain, because this is the second look from the Balmain Spring 2010 collection she’s worn whilst performing.

The first one was way too tight, but this military jacket fits her nicely.

As much as I like the Balmain jacket with the gold fringed epaulets, the whole look feels a bit dated.

This is mostly due to those 2000-and-late shredded skinny lack black jeans which Rihanna and half of young Hollywood wore on a daily basis last year.

As someone pointed out recently, the only person really doing justice to Balmain at the moment is Celine Dion, who may have been one of the first celebrities to discover the brand.

Style wise JLo always seems a step behind everyone else at the moment.
