Marion Cotillard and Penelope Cruz continue to work the European leg of the promotional tour for their movie “Nine”.

They were in Paris last night, dressed by their favourite designers.

Marion wore a Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture nude dress with a lace embellished overlay.

The dress had been modified from the runway, but I much prefer the dress as it was presented.

A lot of the charm has been lost for me in Marion’s shorter version, plus I loved the dress belted.

I also really dislike Marion’s styling from the hair to the single gold earring.

For the second time this week Penelope Cruz has blown me away.

She wore a ballet pink floor-length L’Wren Scott Spring 2010 dress with a delicate lace train which was custom-made for the Spanish actress.

My first thought was “thank god it’s not black” as I love seeing Pen wearing colour.

Now the dilmena is which dress should be added to the BDOTW poll.

The Versace or the L’Wren Scott dress?

Gilles Mendel presented his J. Mendel Fall 2010 collection yesterday on the last day of New York Fashion Week.

The models were perched on pedestals, and each one would also walk the runway for a bank of photographers.

I liked this type of presentation because you got to see the details of each look up close, plus you also saw how each look moved on the runway.

The looks on the right of the runway included fur coats, jackets, gilets and even a fur messenger bag.  These were paired with pants, mini dresses and tights.

Christian Louboutin provided the footwear of ankle boots and slouchy boots. Some were also trimmed with fur.

My favourite look on this side was the mini chocolate brown tweed dress which was crystallized and shimmered under the light.

The other side of the runway was more glamorous.  We were presented with mini cocktail dresses paired with ankle boots (grrr) and red carpet ready gowns.

I adored the look which included a gladiatorial embellished skirt and a jagged edge belted fur vest.

One of the most interesting pieces was the ombre red gown which delightfully shimmered when it caught the light. I would imagine this would be a knock out on the red carpet if worn by the right person.

Celebrity guests included Brooke Shields and Melissa George.

Christian Siriano is always guaranteed to attract celebs to his presentations.

Amber Rose arrived wearing dress with that beautiful marine print from his Spring 2010 collection.

The dress has such bold shoulders that Amber shouldn’t have adopted this pose as it ruins the shape of the dress.

Her look was paired with same runway print heels.

Mena Suvari is a huge supporter of Christian Siriano, which is why I’m not surprised she wore a custom blue strapless dress from the designers Fall 2010 collection.

It looks like Chloe Sevigny, Selma Blair, Leigh Lezark and Rachel Zoe all the got the “wear black, white or grey” memo to the Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 presentation during New York Fashion Week.

Chloe opted for an oversized Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2010 shirt dress, worn with a Proenza Schouler coat, shoes and PS1 bag.

Selma opted to wear her Pre-Fall 2010 dress without the sleeveless shirt, which is a much better look.

Leigh Lezark’s wore an animal print Spring 2010 dress which we’ve seen on Kate Bosworth.

After the Armani Privé Spring 2010 presentation many of you submitted red carpet wish lists for Anne Hathaway.

Whilst we’re still waiting for Anne to don one of Giorgio Armani’s stunning couture designs, we have the beautiful Queen Rania Of Jordan to admire.

The Queen wore a modified version of the Prive strapless dress with an asymmetrical cape when she show her support for the “1GOAL Education Campaign” at the Sanremo music festival.

I like the modified version as perfectly fits the moon them of the Prive Spring 2010 presentation.
