Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: February 2010

Jamie Winstone excitedly walked the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards in London tonight.

She channeled her inner Marylin Monroe sporting blonde marcel waves whilst wearing an Alexander McQueen Fall 2004 nude gown with criss cross contrasting detail going across the bodice.

The tiny star actually looked a better than these photos suggest, but I saw far better on this red carpet tonight.

Thank you to all your kind messages and tweets whilst I was twittering live from the red carpet at the BAFTAs this evening.

It was a busy night on the red carpet trying to speak to celebrities, so I only managed to get my photo taken in the press room.

So here I am in my RM by Roland Mouret Fall 2009 gown paired with Jimmy Choo Private sandals.

It was a cold night, but so much fun as I was in the fashion pit with some really funny girls from The Sun, Now Magazine and InStyle magazine.

Pictures and videos to follow.

** Thanks for all your comments. xx

Before I head off to the BAFTAs here’s a look at what Carey Mulligan wore last night to the BAFTAs Nominees Party.

It looks like Carey is keeping us on our toes.

Firstly she wowed us with a new hair colour, now she’s switching up her favoured designers for someone less predictable for her.

Last night Carey wore a black Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 dress.

This is an interesting choice for Carey, and I’m loving this look from the ankles up.

The high neckline is interesting, as are those gold and ruby embellishments, but her shoe choice doesn’t rock my world unfortunately.

Can’t wait to see what she wears later this afternoon.

A big THANK YOU to Monsieur Roland Mouret, who loaned me the stunning teal green Fall 2009 gown for the BAFTAs tonight.

I really wanted something sophisticated, warm and work appropriate – I didn’t want to be like Giuliana Rancic wearing a bright orange dress.

As I predicted it’s raining in London today, so the beautiful gowns (including my own) are going to get wet.

My fear is that possibly the stars will not want to stop and chat about their looks in the rain, so let’s pray for a rain break as they hit the red carpet.

It’s raining in London today, but thankfully the rain didn’t ruin both Camilla Belle’s and Penelope Cruz’ red carpet moments this week.

Camilla looked fabulous in fuchsia Marchesa gown to win your votes. There’s nothing this girl can wear that we don’t all admire.

I was more taken by Penelope in both her looks this week, but more so by this stunning simple Versace gown.

Her black phase appears to be well behind her.

Hopefully I haven’t spoken too soon.
