Anika Noni Rose glammed up for the 12th Annual Costume Guild Awards last night.
The star of the animated feature “The Princess and the Frog” looked every inch a princess in her blue asymmetrical David Meister gown.
I love the colour on her plus that jeweled detail on her hip was a nice touch.
Her old Hollywood hairstyle added to the regal nature of her look.
Stunningly beautiful and a worthy BDOTW contender.

Wow! Beautiful gown. I love the color and the detail on the side. I like the accessories too. The hair, well, it reminds me of Imelda Marcos. But good overall.
she look every inch the princess you can imagine a princess to be. if that actually make sense. haha
gorgeous regardless!
I love it!
It’s so elegant and regal.
BDOTW contender.
absolutely gorgeous!! love the color.
One word: GORGEOUS! Simply perfect! The colour, the make-up, the hair, the jewelry, the dress… All perfect!
Hi!
Oh my god, fashion critic I honestly dont know how I lived without your website. I learned about it last year and, well, Ive been hooked. You notice such tiny yet beutiful details on everything, and you’re absolutely right about your hatred toward tights!
Anyways, I was just wondering why you changed your search options. The old three options? They eased my life so much. Please if its not too much trouble, could you please return them?
Thank you so much,
I hope you continue doing a stellar job.
N
Hi N, glad to hear we share a hatred for tights.
I had to take down that search function because it slowed the site down a lot.
Once I figure out out to prevent it from doing that I will be back.
LOVE the gown, but I think the hairstyle ages her
Beautiful and boring in the same time… It’s the type of dress you get to see inflected/being declined by so many designers.
The first part of your comment is just how I feel, but I don’t quite get the second part. Do you mean it’s kind of an unimaginitive design?
I mean someone came up first with this design, then other designers made variation on the same theme, adding a brooch, changing the colour, but keeping the main pattern of the dress.
Definite BDOTW contender!
I think that the dress looks cheap.
