When I first saw Toni Collette hit the red carpet wearing this Rafael Cennamo Spring 2010 gown at the 2010 SAG Awards, I wasn’t blown away.
I did love the gold and blush empire beaded bodice cascade gown, but I still don’t think it was quite right for the SAGs.
Last night at the 2010 Premio Lo Nuestro a La Musica Latina Awards, singer Paulina Rubio wore the same gown.
What I find very strange is that Toni appears taller and more statuesque, whereas Paulina looks short in the same gown which does appear to be modified.
For this reason I think Toni carries the look better, so she wins for me.

I am going to say Paulina, her skin and hair are very warm and really go with the beading of the gown. While Toni does look taller it’s mostly because the last layer of the gown is in better place making her look that way, pin Paulina’s picture the last layer doesn’t flow as well, if we would of gotten a different picture of Paulina, it would of looked the same.
I just cannot get on board with this dress. I think it has to do with the colour combo combined with the tent-like structure. I almost like it, but then I really don’t like it at the same time.
I really think it’s just the way Paulina is standing…the bottom layer is caught and needs to be pulled out. The way it cuts off at the 2nd layer makes it look awkward and short.
I like Toni’s accessories better.
Neither. The dress looks like it belongs in the Grand Old Opry.
I am in a rut on this one. Both women look stunning and the gown is gorgeous, but Toni dresses well as a regular basis and Paulina doesn’t. I believe in rooting for the underdog, so Paulina wins this for me. Plus, her golden cascading locks are in control and are actually complementary to her gown and stunning bracelets.
