I was excited to see the Michael Angel Fall 2010 presentation because I’d read so much about the Australian designer on Bryan Boy’s blog.
We were presented with high waisted tulip shaped skirts, tailored jackets, sexy mini dress and coats.
What stood out the most in this presentation – which was streamed lived from the tents – were the dark graphic prints on fitted dress, skirts and coats.
I was also fascinated by the laser cut pieces which were layered over tops, dress skirts and used as coat-tails.
Aside from the prints the colour palette was a mixture of warm mocha, slate grey, navy blue, black and khaki.
A svelte Kelly Osbourne was in the front row with her cute pooch, but I can see this collection being worn by someone like Leighton Meester, especially that web-like dress on the top row.
This was a collection full of sexy pieces that weren’t too in-your-face, which I hope to see on a red carpet very soon.
