It appears Chloe Sevigny may have taken my advice too far.
The girl who usually sports a wild messy do opted for a slick back look when she walked the red carpet at amfAR’s New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2010 Fashion Week party last night.
The look was head-to-toe black as she wore a tiered Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2010 dress with a plunging neckline and a high waisted leather belt.
The dress is stunning on the model, but lacking any oopmh or vitality on Chloe.
I was instantly bored by this look and surprised she couldn’t sprinkle any magic on it.

this is just so boring. i love the dress on the model but on chloe its dull.

I think she’ll follow your next advice: to sprinkle magic on any dress.
I can’t agree this time… I think she looks great! I even like the tights… I only can’t see the shoes well, I don’t know how they are.
I’m wondering about her shoes/boots?, and I like the way she is playing with her new hair, like this sleeked back look, it suits her outfit; yes, it’s not the greatest thing she has ever worn, but on the other hand, I feel like she’s made the look hers and nothing looks horribly misplaced as often happens with women who don’t seem to know themselves or their bodies.
I never thought I’d call a Chloe Sevigny outfit boring, but I am! I only like the hair and makeup. Everything else is kind of boring. She should’ve quirked (or ‘Chloed’) it up.
We are so used to seeing Chloe in over the top, avante garde styles that this does seem boring. For her. On someone else, this would be perfectly fine.
