Karl Lagerfeld has been courting many young hip celebrities like Lily Allen and Alexa Chung, but when it comes to a perfect celebrity brand ambassador for Chanel, Vanessa Paradis immediately spring to my mind.
The French singer/actress was the face of “Coco Chanel” back in 1992, then the face of Chanel’s Cambon handbags in 2003 and now she’s the face of Chanel’s new lipstick collection, “Rouge Coco de Chanel”.
The guest of honour was of course in Chanel, but unlike Kate, Vanessa picked one of the pieces from the recent Pre-Fall 2010 presentation.
Vanessa’s Chanel shift dress with floral details was typically a non safe quirky choice which she paired with thigh-high black suede Louboutin boots.
I can’t say that I love this look, but she makes it work for her as she often does.

I always like what she wears, and this is not exception. Prefer suede boots to the runway look (but I think it would have looked better with knee high boots and tights)
I like this dress too, it’s cute, but her hair makes me do a squinty-eyed face. It’s just . . . off. Or maybe its the make up.
I am far more intrigued by the woman to the left of Vanessa – she is wearing some sort of head-piece and McQueen’s Armadillo shoes – yikes!

i am a big Chanel and Vanessa Paradis fan but I have to admit that I really don’t like this look….I am (surprisingly) not a fan of this dress (normally I love everything the Kaiser designs)….it is vanessa’s style but something doesn’t work for me…no idea what…

She actually is a singer and actress (and not really model, only what comes with her other jobs).
I really like this hairdo with the dress and heavy boots. It gives her look a fresh feel. Like it.

Vanessa is a gorgeous, stunning woman and I can see how she nabbed hunk Johnny Depp, but always feel her style is lacking. It just falls flat for me.
