This weekend Jessica Alba attended the “Audi Super Bowl XLIV Party” at the W Hotel in South Beach, Florida.
She wore a sun shiny yellow Jenni Kayne Resort 2010 dress, which she paired with black peep-toes and a large statement necklace.
I love the dress, but feel the necklace is too overbearing.
For some reason I get the feeling that the bright dress and large necklace was an attempt to distract us from her new shorter ‘do.
Recently Jessica has been wearing her hair up, so this was her big reveal.
You may remember earlier in the year at the People’ Choice Awards her hair reached her shoulders.
I think the haircut is OK, but she needed to style it better.
Do you consider this a make-over, or make under?

I think she wore the necklace to erase the fact that her dress has no shape at all and perhaps an excuse to wear the black heels
But I am glad she has ditched the frumpy look, she’s far too beautiful for that.
TOTAL make-under! She looked stunning at the People’s Choice Awards. Young, invigorating and super-stylish, now she looks as if she’s trying to recreate the 60′s ‘mod’ look, but totally failing. Also, her hair looks like it belongs to Susan Boyle. (sorry for being so negative but i really can’t find a nice thing to say about this.)
I agree with you she’s definitely need to style it better because that make her face looks older.
she has just aged about 10 years with that hair do. the whole look is bo-ri-ng!
agree!
she looks much older…..
..same here!!
… and here..
I totally agree, she might as well complete the look with black tights, then we know she’s going for that middle aged look.
I don’t like this heavy necklace with the dress, which is so soft and light.
Love the outfit, but agree on the hair – it falls completely flat, needs a restyle/recut!
Terrible outfit. Terrible hair, terrible makeup, terrible dress…yuck! The only thing I like is the necklace and guess what? It looks terrible with that outfit!
I agree. Where is the totally gorgeous Alba with long hair and rocking style? Now she is totally ‘mumsy’. Hate the short hair.
She looks like a granny version of Velma from Scooby-doo so I’d say make under lol. I’m surprised because she used to have short hair back in the day and it looked cute. Then again, she had more weight on and her face was fuller, maybe that’s why.
i love that Jessica is going for more fashion forward pieces recently! i spy a new stylist!
nearly love the dress but the hair needs some attention!
total make-under– she looks like Dora the Explorer now!!! (yes, I know she went as her for Halloween last year!)
I tought she was wearing some car parts as necklace, as it is an Audi party…. so weird…
Jessica Alba usually has nice hair. But to be honest I don’t find that style suits her. Dress ab make-up is okay, but the necklace not so good. Sorry to say but it’s a make under for me.
Yuck!
that is a horrible necklace, it looks like broken plasctic stung together by a ribbon, and the hair is childish.
ohh bad makeup sorry jessica! and the way the hair is styled definitely makes it a make under. necklace pretty crazy too. sorry you are still beautiful, just doing a good job of trying to hide it!
It’s a disappointment head-to-toe, Jessica starts the year on great red carpet looks, wearing goody designers Antonio Berardi, Prada, Peter Piloto …. why she have to do this ?
dress, make up, NECKLACE and HAIR = AWFUL !
Her hair looks awful, she looks like a playmobil doll!!
The dress is not my liking, neither the shoes and necklace.
make under! she really looks like a mom here.
love the colour of the dress. dont like the hairstyle at all…makes her look too old and mumsy. =\
Love the dress and the shoes. Hate the hair and necklace. The necklace looks like it could come from Claire’s.
Smock dresses truly don’t work for Jessica Alba. I know she trying to tone down the sex kitten or yore that she was a few years ago, but this just isn’t working. Her Tight/Legging Syndrome needs to be treated as well. Even though she’s thankfully not wearing them.
