Runway To 2010 Grammy Awards – Miley Cyrus In Hervé Léger by Max Azria

I was expecting to immediate dislike whatever Miley Cyrus wore to the 2010 Grammy Awards, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The girl who has a knack for not dressing age appropriately for once got it right with this denim Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2010 bandage dress.

The dress is dark and moody, so I’m surprised – but thankful – that Miley kept her make-up light.

Her look was paired with black strappy Balenciaga sandals and a box clutch.

    not feeling it

  2. jen February 1, 2010 at 02:07 #

    she looks quite pretty

  3. mari February 1, 2010 at 02:08 #

the dress looks very nice on her. I do not like the gladiator sandals trend, but they do not look that bad, so I canreally complain about her hair. The extensions are excessive.

    • Lee-Shay February 1, 2010 at 09:06 #

      I agree on the extensions…

This look feels too rock-n-rollish for a girl who sings cheesy kid pop. Her face expression is a little funny, and she looks like she’s trying way too hard. Not liking this at all.

  5. Christy February 1, 2010 at 02:14 #

Meh – she looks ok, but the pout ruins it, plus it’s very similar to that hot Herve Leger (?) dress with the square shoulders I remember her wearing a while back.

Looking forward to seeing your comments on Nicole Kidman and Taylor Swift!

  6. Laura February 1, 2010 at 02:18 #

She looks like Lindsay Lohan here. Herve Leger dress:check, long messy hair: check. Bad….

I was so nervous when I remembered that Miley was going to be attending the Grammy’s since her previous red carpet appearances have been pretty bad.

But I think that she does a good job with looking age-appropriate. The navy blue looks gorgeous against her skin tone though I would have liked to see her in a brighter color.

Hope she keeps up the age appropriate dresses and good red carpet appearances :)

  8. Linda February 1, 2010 at 02:21 #

Best she’s looked in ages. Now if only she’d cut her hair – sleek style just above the shoulders? – she’d really be onto something.

    • Sonia February 1, 2010 at 02:40 #

yeah i agree, the overly long hair/extensions are looking a little trashy. i think i would have liked this a lot better if her hair was at least half up, it feels like there’s just too much hair lol

    • Leti February 1, 2010 at 03:16 #

I totally agree. The hair just looks really heavy, like it’s dragging her down…

  9. Pen Pen February 1, 2010 at 02:21 #

not loving it … but a huge improvement on her previous appearance …

  10. Jarrold February 1, 2010 at 02:28 #

I like this dress so much, she looks good for once, I knew u was going to like it.

  11. Erin February 1, 2010 at 02:28 #

She still looks trashy to me

  12. 44 February 1, 2010 at 02:38 #

Don’t like it. Her hair looks terrible… looks like extensions were added without any cutting or styling.

  13. justme February 1, 2010 at 02:55 #

Nice outfit, it’s a shame about the face and the hair.

    • mol February 1, 2010 at 04:25 #

      Right.

  14. emmaleeann February 1, 2010 at 03:07 #

    Bag: judith leiber
    Shoes: balenciaga
Jewelry: both lorraine schwartz and her sister ofira schwartz

  15. Miranda February 1, 2010 at 03:08 #

I think this is the best she’s ever looked. Ive noticed that she has become edgier in the past few months, so hopefully she will just keep getting better

  16. wilwarin February 1, 2010 at 08:20 #

she looks good once, but the hair it’s yuk, ruins really nice dress… funny that people.com predicted she’ll wear Herve Leger… not this dress but still…

  17. Maddy February 1, 2010 at 08:28 #

The hair, the make up, the dress – She reminds me so much of Fergie, it’s unreal!

  18. nicole February 1, 2010 at 08:36 #

    so predictable. dont like

  19. Ferne February 1, 2010 at 08:47 #

    love the dress
but it’s very Lindsay lohan to me :S

    • AJoanna February 1, 2010 at 12:42 #

I totally agree, and I was wondering if anyone else noticed it. Honestly, when I first saw her walk out of her car on E!, I wondered what LiLo was doing there. But apparently it was just her successor.

  20. robbie February 1, 2010 at 08:50 #

    HATE IT!

thankfully it isnt too showy, but the hair far too messy, that pout which i really would love to smack off her face. only like her shoes.

    • robbie February 1, 2010 at 09:08 #

oh forgot to mention her sandals are balenciaga. :-)

      • Fashion Critic February 1, 2010 at 09:11 #

        thanks Robbie

  21. Elaine February 1, 2010 at 09:24 #

hmm not feeling it really, overall look looks a bit trashy.. and bad hair, bad pout..
is it just me who thinks Herve Leger dresses arent really “age appropriate” for any 16 year old?!

  22. nicky February 1, 2010 at 10:44 #

other pictures give this look more justice. im just thankful she didnt turn up in a silly gown. this is very age appropiate! i just need to complain about the messy oily looking hair…

  23. Chloe February 1, 2010 at 13:11 #

I think this is one of her best outfits ever,
    she looks great!

  24. JJ February 1, 2010 at 16:05 #

An improvement but I honestly think her face is lost in all that hair. I wouldn’t mind a little more lip colour – unless its just the expression. I would have preferred less shoe as well.

  25. beatriz duarte February 1, 2010 at 16:31 #

I don’t usually like Miley, but I think she looks nice. Not amazing, but nice, great colour and a simple clutch. The shoes are nice too. But her messy strange hair? Not feeling it.

  26. FF February 1, 2010 at 16:56 #

I don’t know… the seems to be a lack of imagination going on here.

Ah, just figured out what bugs me about it: it looks far better on someone with a waist.

Also, it’s the Grammy Awards – feel free to pull out a stop or two.

  27. enriqueta February 1, 2010 at 17:07 #

just a question: why have you changed the way the posts are? The is now just one person per post. Not a critacism, just wondering why you decided to do this…

  28. Lala/S-R February 1, 2010 at 17:34 #

This isn’t exactly “age appropriate” to me. Isn’t she tired of Herve?

    • Elaine February 1, 2010 at 20:33 #

      Thank you!!

  29. P. February 2, 2010 at 03:02 #

ohohoho so predictable… so Miley Cyrus !!

Selena Gomez should give to her some advices about how can she dress in age appropriately, when she will stop with these Hannah Montana *trash* looks ?!

Let’s pray all the night for this deluded girl !!!!

    • karen February 7, 2010 at 21:03 #

you mean Selena the girl that most of the time looks like a 40 year old lady walking her cats?

  30. zjl February 2, 2010 at 04:04 #

I think it’s very age appropriate because it’s hip and short. I love the unique, dark and dreamy color. I think the sandals were too much though. And I agree with most posters—the hair extensions are almost bordering on dreads and have to go. They are wearing HER rather than the other way around.

  31. Christina February 3, 2010 at 02:10 #

I was on a website the other day. And, it said that Miley has gone through a fashion evolution. Do you think so?

    • Fashion Critic February 3, 2010 at 06:55 #

      I don’t think so

  32. Mazivii February 8, 2010 at 21:21 #

the dress is pretty and flattering without looking overly porn-starish which is different from what I usually see BUT too much foundation, blusher, rubbish all over her face. She looks like she dunked her face in a vat of butter and fake tan. It screams Katie Price.
