Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Still Afraid Of The Red Carpet Award
Marion Cotillard in Elie Saab, Kate Hudson in Emilio Pucci, and Penelope Cruz in L’Wren Scott all walked the red carpet, but Nicole Kidman appears to be still avoiding it.

She has been avoiding the red carpet since her rather unfortunate make-up malfunction at the “Nine” New York Premiere.

Whilst her cast mates opted for chic European designers, Kidman wore a gorgeous gold boho Oscar de la Renta Spring 2010 strapless gown with stunning multi-coloured embroidered details.

She really stands out like a sore thumb here.

If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It Award
Like Sofia Vergara, Julianna Margulies opted to stick to the same designer who made her Globes gown – Narciso Rodriguez.

Her midnight blue velvet Narciso Rodriguez halter gown is so incredibly gorgeous.

She gives off a regal air in this gown, which is so befitting for the nominated actress.

Purple Trend Award
Purple is becoming the much loved colour of this awards season.

We’ve seen it dominate the red carpet at the Golden Globes and National Television Awards.

Anna Kendrick looked cute at a button wearing a purple Alberta Ferretti bustier gown.

What I love about this look is how simple and effortless her whole look is.

She’s got the hang of this red carpet thing so quickly, as she has the grace of a seasoned pro.

Ravishing In Red Award
Christina Hendricks does it again.

By ‘it’ I mean look outstanding on the red carpet.

The “Mad Men” actress glowed wearing a red Carolina Herrera Resort 2009 asymmetrical gown with a bow detail on the shoulder, which she paired with matching red Christian Louboutin heels.

Her flame red hair was styled into an updo for this occasion, as she completed her look with a Rene Caovilla clutch.

Best Dressed from “Glee” Award
It feels like there’s so many cast members from “Glee” at these awards shows, but tonight Lea Michele stood out.

The Oscar de la Renta Globes gown was too old and grand for her, but this emerald green Malandrino Spring 2010 gown with a plunging ruffled neckline feels more youthful.

The colour really pops on the red carpet, and her hair and make-up was flawless.

She also looks more comfortable here, which adds to the overall appeal of this look.

2 for 2 Award
A lot of you didn’t like Sandra Bullock’s Bottega Veneta gown at the Globes, but I’ve loved both her looks this award season.

Sandra’s not one to wow on the red carpet, but her choices have not disappointed thus far.

Tonight she wore a black Alexander McQueen keyhole gown with bold shoulders and an electric blue embellished detail around the neckline.

My only critique is I wish she’d smile more on the red carpet.  It always looks like such a chore for her.
