Red Carpet Fashion Awards

On Trend Award
White was the trend colour of the night, and colour of Kyra Sedgwick’s stunning Vera Wang gown.

I love the jeweled detail and the grey sash across the waist.

The grey detail across the bodice bothered until I concluded that the gown may have looked too bridal without it.

The beautiful actress added Fred Leighton jewels to her look.

Thanks to Laura and Mahima for pointing out that this dress is similar to the Vera Wang gown America Ferrera wore to the 2009 SAG Awards.

Yet ANOTHER Re-Run Award
Jennifer Carpenter was the 3rd re-run of the night following Edie Falco in Bottega Veneta and Meryl Streep in Balenciaga.

Her Paule Ka Fall 2009 white long sleeve mini dress has already been worn by Amber Heard at the Zombieland LA Premiere.

Surely their must be a way for celebs to find out if someone else has worn the look before them.

I could have forgiven her faux pa as she looks hot in this dress, but I hate the heavy black pumps.

It’s A Grower Award
My first reaction was to dislike Michelle Monaghan’s Calvin Klein one-shoulder gun-metal dress, but after sleeping on it my mind has changed.

What I love about the two tone grey dress, is that is not like anything else on this red carpet.

Whilst most wore satin or chiffon gowns, Michelle gave us something totally different with this beautiful haunting creation.

Her earrings are exquisite, whilst she matched her dress with Christian Louboutin Ole Ole pewter goa lame platform pumps.

Stunning Embellishments Award
Christina Applegate wore a ice blue Roberto Cavalli gown with a stunning train which came very close to being Best Dressed, but that honour went to the unstoppable Diane Kruger.

Embellishments can some times ruin delicate gowns, but in this case it enhances the look as they shine as brightly as her smile.

The subtle touches on her shoulders and on the back of her gown – which she couldn’t wait to show off to Giuliana DePandi – was so pretty.

This was complemented by her stunning jewels and matching silver clutch.

Head-to-toe perfecetion.

One-Shoulder Wonder Award
Jane Krakowski wore a platinum Alberta Ferretti satin one-shoulder gown last night with Martin Katz jewels.

I’m not crazy about the dress as I prefer Jane in more colourful gown, plus that twisted strap really bothers me.

It seems this is a style Jane favours as she wore a one shoulder J.Mendel dress to Globes last week and a few weeks before that she wore one’s shoulder Christian Cota dress. Hopefully she won’t get stuck in a style rut.

Best Dressed Award
For the second time in a row Diane Kruger was my Best Dressed in Jason Wu.

I love usual mustard colour which we don’t often seen on the red carpet.

It doesn’t have that same WOW factor as Michelle Williams’ 2006 Vera Wang Oscar dress, but close enough.

Diane’s one shoulder draped gown oozes old Hollywood glamour.

Those ruby and gold earrings and red lips blow my mind.
